I hate using absolute words like "worst", but godaddy is the sorriest excuse for a domain hosting company I have ever seen.
If you are using parked pages and registering 100's of domains maybe so.
If you have a niche site, no way, stay far far away.

One thing I have noticed since using GoDaddy. They are very very slow at changing my named servers, 72 hours and counting

Are you guys talking about something other than what they're advertising on their home page? Unlimited $1.99 domains if you make a non-domain purchase?

Because I tried the coupon without making a non-domain purchase and it didn't work. They gave me one domain for $1.99 though.

Disappointing...

I think you can renew the domain. It's just that you have to pay the normal fee second year onwards.

Huh, i didn't sleep for some time, i got confused, thought you CAN'T renew domain you registered with it, but it is just you can't renew existing domain. Which is normal :/
Anyway promo code still works.

I just tried it today and it has stopped working. I can't believe I missed it by a day. I was thinking about the domain name last night. I thought I will register it today but they closed it.

They had an insane(free domains) promotion with nascar about 3 months ago, they ended up closing it earlier than expected.

I wouldnt recommend godaddy to anyone, especially if you're going to be using the domain(s) for blackhat...if they receive a complaint, they will hold your domain until you pay them 199$

Do you actually put your real info? I never do and never will, I have about 30 domain names/sites and I just put a spam catcher email and fake the rest (name/addy/someones fax#for phone). Guaranteed privacy and no fee.

Yea, i know it's not allowed to do but.. what, they going to check every domain registered on the net? i doubt it.
