Koddos - power issue?

Have been using their NL servers for past 10 years and it was down for about 10 minutes max, been up since then. The uptime is 99.99%. Only down for this year only. Not sure why you guys are down still. My server is around 190 USD to 600 USD. (abouot 4-5 servers). Probably the server cost factor in the uptime

Check the location of your servers, are they equinix am4 located or somewhere else?

Nope, i saw its in another location, Maincubes. Maybe you can request to move over this location, since this has huge uptime.
You got lucky, my servers in that location didn't go down either, so your 10 minute downtime is purely unrelated. I had 0 minute downtime of the servers in that location. Your sites probably aren't optimized.

The big issue everyone is having is only related to Equinix AM4 location, whether koddos, offshore-servers.com, KnownSRV or whatever other supposed provider.

How long did your server go down and not even up ? 1 day max ?

Their support is usually only 1 person replying and the same person, so it usually takes long to get respond.

Its proabably the CEO itself replying the ticket then a few technicians onsite. But the server no doubts are really good, no hardware failure in any of my server in the past 10 years.

You're a retard, get out of this thread, everyone at the equinix am4 location has had their servers down since Sept 29th until now, some of us have managed to recover 1 server only.

Koddos hasn't notified publically but offshore-servers (which I do not use) has

Thats why we should always have a backup(a clone exactly backup daily) in any case of this, i have at least 3 backup servers currently, my website serve almost 2 million daily visitors and if my server went down for more than 1 hour max(i would switch to the new server IP immediately). Instead of checking tickets everyday and praying it will be online. Have a notification email send to your phone in this case, so you get 99% uptime.

I would give advice as a professional webmaster with over 15 years in web administration and running websites, setup daily backup using automatic script, invest extra revenue into 1-2 more server for backups, and these server should be check daily for their uptime if they are down and also script should be running good with no errors.

So above tips hope you can master well.

There is no reasonable way to backup perabytes worth of data / videos. You are probably just embedding videos from doodstream or something.

One more server back up (two so far), 5 more still down and waiting

Lucky you, I have only 1 server with KoDDoS and still not live yet. Is your server on same location? which rack? IP address changed?
IP didn't change, read the damned thread as it answers the other question, I have 9 servers with koddos, 7 were down because they are in the equinix am4 location, only two have gotten back up, I'm not lucky, I am losing a ton of money because of this and my network might be finished. I was probably the first person to notify koddos about this and have been pleading with them daily to get my servers back up.

I found it very weird, tbh. In the past, the support team was very active and would answer all tickets instantly or within a few minutes. Now, they haven't even replied to my ticket for more than 4 days.

I even started thinking that maybe the servers were raided or seized by the police, but when I searched online, I couldn't find anything related to that. And when I saw that @the_mago received 2/7 of his servers back, and the same happened with @MrX4U, I don't really agree with the idea of a raid or seizure.

For me they normally delay, if you are on their timezone or get lucky sometimes they answer quickly. I am sure they had to think about the issue first and are stressed as well from it.

I completely understand, but on the other side, there is the customer/client whose business depends on their services. Communication and support tickets should be answered even faster in a situation like this.

As a client/customer, I can’t just sit and watch my business go down without getting any updates or information to understand what is happening.

As you can see above, everything is speculation from our side. We have received nothing official from support besides what Offshore-Servers.com posted above.

(Btw, I am a customer of Offshore-Servers.com.)

Edit: i just received new update from offshore-servers

Hello,
we are moving servers to another cage, but sadly it doesn't depend solely on us. As soon as the server is moved, it will be powered back on.
Thank you for understanding. Every client affected by this downtime will be accordingly compensated.

Hello,

We are unable to get access to those racks right now. We keep trying while restoring others.

Best Regards,
Martin

Hmm wtf does that mean? Why wouldn't they have access to specific racks? Is that typical in a data center?
