What made the biggest difference after months of steady SEO work?

I’ve been looking back at some of the sites I’ve worked on and one thing I keep noticing is that the biggest jumps usually didnt come from one big change.

It was more like fixing the pages that were already getting impressions, improving the content around the main topic, better internal links and then adding some good relevant links over time.

The funny thing is the work that feels boring at the time is often what ends up making the biggest difference.

I’d be interested to hear what other people have seen. Was there one change that gave you a much bigger jump than you expected?
Yep, I’ve seen same reslts. Improving pages that already have impressions, tightening search intent, and strengthening internal links produce a bigger jump than expected.

same as yours, pages that already had impressions. but i log every change with a date in a sheet, so i can say which one did it. content updates alone, nothing in 4 weeks. the jump came the week i pointed links at those pages. not expensive ones, a support layer built with software off a verified list at the pages linking to them, and 2 real ones at the page itself. boring work, dated, repeatable. anyway dont forget the links, everyone in this thread is talking about content
