Google has started massively blocking accounts that place ads on old Gmail accounts (registered before 2015). What other options are currently relevant?
The main task is to build trust to launch “gray” campaigns.

Interesting. Do you think the main issue is the age of the Gmail account itself, or the overall account history and ad activity? I’d be interested to know what factors are currently having the biggest impact on account trust.

Interested too what other things can influence the adwords or its only the gmail age.

Any Idea about this

Dear Advertiser,

In Oct 2026, Google will update its Business name requirements policy to allow for differences between the business name and the destination domain in certain limited cases, provided that:
• The business name accurately reflects the recognized name or brand of the advertiser;
• There is a verified direct relationship between the advertiser and the domain owner; and
• The advertiser’s products or services are directly offered in the destination domain.

Third-party resellers, independent booking intermediaries, affiliate distributors, and secondary sellers do not qualify for this provision and are prohibited from using the standalone brand name of the goods, services, or properties they offer as their business name.

We will begin enforcing the policy update on 19 October 2026.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

The Google Ads Team

Just wondering what exact blocks you are getting? Is the Google ads page no longer accessable? or phone verification blocks when trying to login? Google has definitely strengthened their game when it comes to all of this in the past months.. sucks for us all !

Yes the main thing now seems to be account consistency, if the payment profile business details and website all match properly it can help build a more genuine history.

If you’re promoting products that don’t comply with the policies, getting your account suspended is inevitable. The important thing is to find a way to have multiple accounts so you can keep running ads.

Yes, the account age is only one part of the picture because a genuine business setup with clean billing and proper verification is a better foundation than an old Gmail.
