The first stage of the Google September 2026 Spam update seems to have been felt in a big way starting Friday, September 25th, with even more movement on Saturday, September 26th and then ending on Sunday, September 27th. There is more to come, since we are only five days into the two-week rollout.

I defo seen an obvious increase. Apart from a boost for a different promotional reason, my site is higher for first time in 30+ days.

If this is the start, may it be a fruitful continuation for those avoiding ai spam sites these days.

For those sharing a story, lets see some analytics. A picture is worth 1000 words. And probably 1k clanker accounts! lol

After all analytics on google and ahrefs and search console are free, so people SHOULD be able to represent their site with graphics. I see enough of you guys talking about wanting more traffic, lol "What you measure is what you get" Lets see some yard sticks of who's really in the game please.

The only thing I recently noticed is an increase in search impressions.

The weekend movement definitely looks noticeable, but I’d be careful about attributing every ranking change to spam yet. The rollout is still ongoing, so I’m mainly watching which pages and query groups move consistently over several days before making any SEO changes.

Yes, Google rollouts major updates which has algorithmic, spam etc. The best option is to keep an eye on these updates. Just search Google updates on search engine and view the official landing page of Google updates where you will find all the updates listed. There is always a shuffle in ranking prior as well as later of Google updates.

up on the sites with a proper link structure under them, flat on the content only ones.. same as every spam update since 2024 for me. the ones people call spam targeting are usually pages that had nothing pointing at them getting re weighed. 2 week rollout, dont touch anything till its done man

I have seen that happen before but I would prefer waiting till everything has been rolled out before doing any change.
