Are expired domains still worth using for SEO?

I think expired domains can still work, but the good ones take a lot more digging to find. A clean, relevant history matters more than just the domain metrics.

I still think expired domains have value when the history backlinks relevance and brand signals are clean But for long term SEO a fresh domain can sometimes be the safer and more sustainable choice

Expired domains have been used in SEO for years, but the quality gap seems much bigger now.
Are expired domains still effective today, or are fresh domains becoming a better option?
Definitely still worth trying imo but I have gotten a lot more picky. When the old niches old backlinks, and old history just does not match up, I think that it is best to start from scratch.

Yes, expired domains still work, but you have to be more careful when choosing one. always check the wayback history, link and anchor profile.

expired domains work but definitely more risk clean relevant domain with good backlinks can useful but for long term seo and branding starting with new domain.

still work but you gotta be way pickier now, checking real historic traffic and content relevance, not just DA. bought a few blind based on metrics alone last year and half of them just never recovered any rankings

Expired domains can still work, but only when the history or backlinks are genuinely clean. I would take a strong fresh domain over a sketchy expired one any day.
