Been buying gambling traffic for a while now and one thing I keep noticing is how unstable FB traffic became lately.
Most affiliates I talk to are running FB/InApp, but in reality only a very small percentage of test streams end up looking scalable long term. A lot of traffic starts strong on registrations, but player quality dies very quickly after first deposits.
In comparison, the most interesting traffic quality I’ve personally seen lately comes from CRM-style sources like SMS and email traffic.
Right now I’m only using email/SMS mostly for player reactivation, but I started looking deeper into this niche and wanted to ask people who actively run this type of traffic:
how do advertisers usually treat SMS/email affiliates?
do they give decent caps/scaling opportunities?
how does your traffic perform compared to FB traffic long term?
are advertisers actually happy with LTV/retention from these sources?
Would be interesting to hear real experiences from people running it at scale.
