1. This is because you need to keep the story so that the account can survive manual reviews.
2. if the accounts stays alive for a month without any active listing, then I would consider it passed the initial ban period.
3. no, we go directly with business account opening. You do need to warm up your browser with browsing history before registration.
4. normally 50% will not survive the initial ban period.
5. finger is the most important, because they find a direct match the ban pool, they will suspend ur account immediately. Warming up on the other hand, can be long can be short, it helps to improve the account quality a bit, but it normally does not lead to direct ban.

I'm sorry if im asking too many questions but im eager to learn more everyday
1) Do you add that person with the SSN to your llc as a beneficiary owner?
2)Do you make the bank account with that persons SSN?
3) So if you use an LLC+EIN+SSN on sign -up and get banned, this means you constantly lose half the identities you have?
4) Is it a viable method to start an account, go 30 days through the initial ban period and after you see which account survives and you use an identity (LLC+EIN+SSN) only on that?

1. no, I am paying them a fee, I can't risk them to have claim on any of our business entity by naming them the beneficiary owner.
2. no, you make bank accounts under the business name, when you open a business account one ebay, they require business account. you can submit a personal account initially, but once your account got a restriction, your account will be suspended because the bank account used initially is not matching the business name on ebay.
3. You can recycle them after a few months. But if you only have 1 set of information, you will lost the only set you got and will have to wait a bit before trying again.
4. no, in order for the initials ban period to start, it has to be a complete account with everything on file.

1)But isnt ebay asking for the SSN of a beneficial owner of the LLC? How do you add the persons ssn without them being a beneficial owner?
2)If you are able to have multiple SSNs why bother creating LLCs?
3) Will i get banned if I dropship on eBay from amazon or AliExpress?
4) Do you think I can be successful in this Ebay stuff, and what do you think i should do to be succesful?

November 2022 Update (Each account is assigned a serial number in red for easy following)
Thought: Nov 2021 was brutal, got 3-4 accounts suspended over a weekend, I am ready for whatever that might come. However, Dec 2021 sales was very nice, probably due to holiday season, hoping to ride these accounts safely thru Dec. Account 3C had a holy $hit moment, reaching $2,000/per, but it did not stay. Last year, I had an account behaving similarly and ended up getting banned two weeks later, hope this time around, it would be better.

Most people only post wins, but documenting the suspensions, mistakes and scaling process over years is the real valuable part. Looking forward to seeing how far you take it

1. No Ebay asks for the ssn for the ebay account holder, the account holder can be a different person than the business owner.
2. LLC allows you to open business account which enables you to have a much higher initial selling limit.
3. Yes, ebay is against drop shipping, so if the algo detects you to be a drop shipper, you will get banned.
4. That depends on what you define as success, can you gross a few thousand a month? and net a few hundred? sure. But making a serious killing on ebay is another story. In the later case, no I don't think you will be successful and that is not against you or anything, it is just very very few people who does ebay actually get to make serious money. It is alot of work and too much uncertainty and heart break.

2) What do you say its such a heartbreak? Is it too hard to make accounts or too hard to monetise them?

1) I started a few years back when drop shipping was still a possibility. I started drop shipping and the ship my own products from 3rd party warehouse. If you are starting and are looking for long term growth, you can do product in hand and ship yourself. if you are just looking to make some quick bucks, you can do drop shipping and hope that you make enough before ebay ban you.
2) Making is almost the easiest part, making money on the account is difficult but can be done, heart break comes when you have an account that makes a shit ton of money and suddenly got restricted and/or suspended for no apparent reason.

just wondering, you mentioned that you use the same company/owner info across multiple accounts without bans. does ebay really not blacklist EINs and SSNs? i find that hard to believe
 
Thanks for this opportunity. I have opened ebay business account and so far just 3 sales which im not bothered considering the fact that i have just few listings. my question is:

1. how do you deal with ebay fees? do u add it to the listed price to maintain your profit?
2. do you list manually? because it doesn’t looks real to list 100 items manually. do you use any tools?
3. do you have the product at hands or you look for people who might have the product at hand in your location?

Yes, this is to my surprises. But I think there are level to this. I think Ebay keeps a list of serious offenders, such as selling fake tiffany, nike and stuff like that on the site, because these could lead to serious legal matters, and could cause them millions in legal fees. In fact, tiffany sued ebay in the early 2000 or so and that is what resulted in ebay developing their VERO program. For this group, they will carry out strict bans.

For the other, it is all done by the ebay algo, if your account does not trigger ebay algo, you are fine.

EIN is easily generatable, you can have an unlimited supply of it if you have the time and a few bucks. using this as a ban metric will not achieve anything. SSN only have 8 numbers in them, so if you are banning based on EIN alone, you will run out of seller very soon. Especially true when people are selling ssn info. Are you going to ban someone's ssn just because his personal info was sold to a party that abused it? that creates an unfair dynamic to these snn holder and potential discrimination law suits.

1. Yes, your selling price should include all expenses+cost+profit.
2. We do all listings manually, it is not unrealistic when you have a team, where some of the employee's job is to site there for 10 hours a day to do listing alone.
3. We store products in USA fulfillment centers and they ship out products for us.

let's say i open a business account and supply the EIN along with my full SSN as a stakeholder, and this account is later banned. are you saying it would be possible to use the same EIN and SSN to make new accounts without restrictions? do you have accounts like that?

If you go through the thread, I have repeatedly stated that this is exactly what I have experienced. Some times you will get a hard ban, but that is really rare, for most cases, you can recycle your information after awhile.

yeah i read all of your posts, it was just surprising to me. based on your info, it sounds like these account restrictions are automated and precautionary. while their algorithm can restrict an account, it doesn't have the authority to blacklist your personal info without escalating for human review. since none of your accounts violate the TOS, you never get hard-banned

otherwise i have no explanation, since SSNs are an exact identifier and are practically irreplaceable. it's also a fact that ebay links SSNs across accounts for taxes, like when calculating revenue for a 1099-K

what do you think about my theory?

Yes I believe this is the case. I think ebay safe and trust team are consisted of 3 stages, This belife stem from years of experience dealing with ebay and some direct communication with your account rep, which you will get one when your accounts gets to a certain size.

First Level: Ebay Algo - you are mostly dealing with this, they placed restrictions and suspension based on your account metric. They do not have ability for perma ban.
Second Level: This is mostly ebay employees from foreign countries, they perform manually review on your accounts in case of restrictions. But they mostly follow and scripts are are probably told to ban your account from restriction no mater how legit your documentations can be. This level does not have ability for perma ban neither.
Third Level: This is where the big guys, decision makes are. They are located in Seattle. You won't get to this part unless your accounts is seriously wrong, such as committing large scale scams on ebay. Employees at this level have power to perma ban your accounts. Luckily you will not have to worry about them 99.99% of the time.

This means ebay flagged your account when you create it.

it is possible to create account with high limit, you will need alot of tests to figure out what works for your marketplace.
