Yes, but expectations need to be realistic. Growing a new site is still possible, it just requires a long-term strategy instead of looking for quick results.

Small and new websites also can grow and gain ranking in google with smart SEO, unique keywords, and attractive contents.

You don’t need authority to start, but you need consistency. Regular publishing and covering a topic deeply helps more than one-off posts.

Small or young? Thats totally different things. If its small - its obvious for anyone who ever tried to do seo for 1 page or 10 page sites for example. 1 page is so much harder to work with.
Consistancy always the win
Yes, but it's takes patience. Target low competition topics, build topical authority, earn a few quality backlinks.

Authority helps but relevance and consistency still matter I'd rather publish useful content regularly and build a solid link profile than expect quick results from a brand new site
Rather than saying small websites cannot be ranked, the fact is that trust and competition have grown. The new websites do not rank bcz they lack topical authority or structural framework at this stage, which makes it difficult for Google to place them anywhere. Clustering needs to happen in one single niche only.

Yes, few sites with decent content barely move in ranking but every new site don't face this problem. It is depends on the competition level and consistently used work strategy.
It still possible to grow with the help of all technical and on-page optimization and must following the right off-page link building strategy.
I think it is still possible but the time frame is different now. New sittes usually have to prove themselves over time. Instead of trying to compete on every keyword I have found it makes more sense to focus on topics where u can actually offer value and keep improving your content consiistently.
I think it is still possible but new sites have to earn trust over time. I have found that focusing on one topic and improving existing content, can make a bigger difference than tryying to publish as much as possible.
