What is your biggest technical blogging mistake ?

My biggest mistake was publishing without proper SEO structure like headings and metadata, which made it harder for Google to understand the content.

I focused too much on publishing new content and ignored technical SEO. Cleaning up crawl issues helped more than I thought.

For me, it was accidentally blocking important pages from being indexed. Everything looked fine until organic traffic slowly dropped. Ever since then, I always double-check robots.txt, meta tags, and Search Console after making site changes.
Mine was changing the site structure without proper redirects, and it took a while to recover the traffic.

Looking back, what's one technical mistake you made on a blog that affected traffic and growth ?
For me, that mistake i made in a blog is wrong placement of keywords with links because when, I started blogging only knew that keywords must placed in the blog in atleast 5-10 times in 1000-1200 words. But what is the right way to place them i'm not aware about that and it affected the ranking and traffic growth.

For me, it was not paying attention to page speed early on. The blog looked fine, but slow loading pages definitely affected both user experience and traffic.

I used too many plugins that slowed down the site. Cleaning them up later made a noticeable difference in SEO performance.

poor internal linkking for me. After I fixed it and made it easier for search engines to crawl the site, I saw a steady increase in traffic.

One of the biggest mistakes I made, was neglecting internal linking. My articles ranked individually, but they werent connected well, which made it harder for Google to understand the sites topical authority. After fixing the internal link structure, both rankings and organic traffic, gradually went up.

The worst thing that happened is I forgot to regenerate the XML sitemap and the robots.txt file after restructuring all the URLs on the site. This caused Googlebot to waste its crawl budget crawling dead links and reduced organic traffic by 40 percent
