For new blogs, I think consistency matters more than quick tricks. Publishing useful content regularly, targeting easier keywords, and building a few relevant backlinks helped me more than chasing high competition terms early. New sites usually take time before Google starts sending steady traffic.
 
You need to either try for low hanging fruits or slowly climb the tree. If you're targeting high competition keywords and not improving your website authority, then you won't reach anywhere.
 
Forget volume; focus on a few high-quality guest posts on established sites in your niche to build topical authority fast.
 
Write about breaking news, new product launches, or viral topics in your niche before anyone else. Google prioritizes fresh content, letting you capture massive search traffic before competition arrives.

i agree with this method, i have used this method for my friends sites, and it worked very well, but you have to be consistent in tthis regard becasue it takes time.

Quality over quantity makes sense, especially with backlinks. I've seen people go crazy building hundreds of links and still not rank.

How did you actually find those quality backlink opportunities when you were just starting out?

I had a few guys that I knew who were providing them and they were managing big sites
 
For a new blog, targeting low-competition long-tail keywords with clear search intent usually brings results faster than chasing competitive terms. Good content, strong internal linking, and consistency tend to move the needle more than focusing on backlinks alone in the early stages.

Broad terms never work for new blogs honestly. Do you use any tool for finding those keywords or just do it manually?
 
do your research on what people are searching for, and then share thoughtful content that people want to read. Also use social media, especially FB to get some traffic going to your blog, but make sure you post in relevant groups so you dont have high bounce rate
 
A couple of months is nothing in blogging, most sites stay quiet for a while. Just keep adding useful content and don't judge it too early.
 
For brand-new blogs , what worked best for me was zeroing in on topical authority, keeping a steady content cadence , and building strong internal linking. Backlinks do help, yet good writing and patience usually swing harder in the beginning months. Most fresh sites need time before Google starts handing out meaningful traffic . In those first weeks it feels slow and uneven, but the groundwork matters.
 
What worked best for me was finding keywords where the top results were weak or low quality and writing the best answer on that topic. Doing a single really good article targeting an easy keyword can bring more traffic than all the generic posts you can write an entire week.

Also, don't ignore places like Reddit, Quora, forums (like BHW lol) and social media. Getting your first visitors from outside Google can help you figure out what people actually care about while you're waiting for Google to find you interesting.
 
look for keywords where reddit or quora is ranking in top 3 on google, write a better article than those messy threads and u will rank instantly even on a brand new domain.

That's a smart way to look at it. One solid article beating weak results makes way more sense than pumping out generic stuff.

Have you found Reddit or Quora actually sends decent traffic or is it more just for figuring out what people want?
