How Did I move from coding to blogging ?

Sup Folks!
Today I will be sharing my path from coding to blogging. I Joined Aseel as a front end developer in 2024 after graduating from masters in computer science , join Aseel as a front end was not i wanted but was the only entrance door at that time as Kabul was in crisis and 0 employment rate in decades. Once i joined Aseel i started working on front end development using techs like next.js tailwind css and javascript where as all my life i was doing c and python.
Later on i was asked by the management team to take on integrations of other platforms like analytic tools. I started working on GA4, Matomo, GTM, Segment, Mixpanel and finally got stick to Posthog. Setup of these tools were looking easy at first but eventually i got stuck with the complexity of managing multiple sections and tracking custom events etc.
Now i am on SEO surprising right ! yeah same here i got SEO from nowhere. I was in a call with our CEO Nasrat Khalid and he came up with this request Faiz fix the SEO for us and than Faiz a typical indian fellow traits in him made him node his head and say yes not scaling what challenges he has to face while dealing with SEO.
Here I am right now figuring it out How to bring traffic from blogging and backlinks. Now i am dealing with alot of Problems like i have to understand learn what the problems are with SEO and than fix it at the same time .
Thats all for now will sahre the other part of my story later ....

coding to blogging was a natural evolution of my passion for technology and a desire to share my knowledge with others.
 
I was into coding first, but I liked sharing what I learned. Small tutorials turned into blog posts, and blogging felt more rewarding, so I shifted fully.
 
That’s a real journey, and honestly, it makes sense. What stands out is how every step pushed you slightly out of your comfort zone like front end, analytics, now SEO. A lot of strong SEOs actually come from dev backgrounds because they understand how things work under the hood. This is super good. I hope it pays good too.
 
Coding to Blogging witch is better for you , Just you have to fix it only You. If you made your decision final, then I think coding knowledge can help you very much in your blogging journey because there is much coding knowledge implemented on blogging sites if required. So best of luck for your journey.

A lot of SEOs come from dev by accident

Your background with analytics and JS actually gives you a big edge once you connect it to search intent and content.

Welcome to the SEO world! Honestly, coming from a tech background with Next.js and analytics tools like GTM and PostHog is an absolute superpower for SEO. You already understand the technical side (site speed, structured data, rendering) which most bloggers struggle with for years. You’ll pick it up fast.

Absolutely. Most people struggle for months just trying to figure out how to properly set up GA4 or fix a Javascript rendering issue on their site. Having that part completely down from day one lets a developer focus 100% on learning keyword research and content mapping.

That's quite a journey. It is interesting how many people end up in SEO unexpectedly, but having a techical background usually gives you an advantage when it comes to analytics, tracking, and site optimization. Good luck with the learning process - SEO can be challenging, but it is definitely rewarding once things start clicking.
 
I can relate to saying "yes" first and figuring things out afterward.
A lot of SEO knowledge comes from solving real problems rather than studying theory.
The technical side you've already learned should make the transition smoother.
