Start blog or youtube channel?

You are not wasting time, bro. Everyone feels like this at the beginning.

If you like writing more, start with a blog. It is cheaper than YouTube. You don’t need a camera, mic, or editing. Just domain + hosting from Namecheap is enough to start.

Don’t worry too much about backlinks at the start. First, focus on 20–30 good articles. Use AI, but always edit and make it human.

YouTube needs more effort and consistency. The blog is slow but easier for beginners.

Start small, learn step by step. Even if you fail, you will gain experience

Blog is cheaper because it needs less hardware. Youtube has better earning potential though. Both are viable in Spanish.

As a beginner, I think starting a blog might be easier and cheaper, especially if you like writing. You don’t really need expensive tools in the beginning, just good content and consistency. YouTube can work too, but it feels a bit more effort with editing and setup. I’d say start with what you enjoy more and keep it simple.
 
You can start with a faceless YouTube channel. If you don’t have time to edit videos yet, you can begin with writing first. And if you don’t want to invest in hosting right away, you can test your content on social media, if it goes viral, you can monetize through Facebook programs or affiliate marketing.

I think starting a blog is easier and cheaper , especially if you enjoy writing more. I feel that , you do not need to spend much at the beginning , just focus on posting helpful content regularly . YouTube can get expensive and takes more effort to learn . I would say try blogging first and see how it goes , you are not wasting your time if you treat it as learning.
 
I’d just pick the path that feels lighter on your brain, then stick to a simple routine so you don’t burn out. I’ve seen people overthink tools and backlinks and end up going in circles, so keeping it scrappy in the beginning saves a lot of stress. If you enjoy writing more, start with a blog. YouTube usually needs more tools, editing, consistency, and time on camera or voice work. A Spanish blog can still work well if you target low competition keywords.

You do not need expensive backlinks at the beginning. Focus on publishing useful content consistently. Even 30-50 solid articles can teach you a lot about SEO and traffic.

Namecheap is fine for starting. The biggest mistake beginners make is spending too much before learning the basics. Just start small, learn, and improve over time.

In my opinion blogging should be first, niche specific traffic
blogs take a long time (5-6 months on average) to get traffic
for youtube you can just run ads

If you enjoy writing, you should start with a blog. It is generally less expensive to get started, and you can always expand into Youtube later. The most important is to stay consistent and focus on creating useful content rather than worrying too much about tools and costs in the beginning.
 
If I were starting from zero today, I'd probably choose blogging. The costs are lower the learning curve is manageable and you can improve your writing and SEO skills over time. The key is picking one niche and staying consistent
 
Starting in Spanish can actually be an advantage since some niches have less competition than English markets, I'd focus on creating helpful content and building experience before investing heavily in tools or services
