I am a noob at both. Should I start a blog or a youtube channel in 2026?

My blog or channel would be in spanish since my english is not good.

Which one is least expensive? Because you need money for backlinks and also ai tools for the chanel...

I like more the idea of writing or rewriting the ai. Also suggest decent affordable hosting. I was thinking namecheap and pay for 1 year.

I don't wanna waste money. How many articles should I post. Am I just wasting my time with IM? I feel like I might fail at this lol.

Are you going to do youtube channel with your face? That is the best option.
Faceless and blogging needs lot of time and there is a learning curve. 6 month to a year of time.

Spanish blog is actually a smart move in 2026, competition is way lower than English and Google is pushing Spanish content hard in Latin America. You have an advantage here most people on this forum don't have.
Go blog over YouTube. YouTube needs camera, editing, consistency on video - blog just needs writing. And since you like writing/rewriting with AI, that's your workflow already.
Namecheap is fine, don't overthink hosting at this stage. Get the cheapest shared plan, it's enough for a new site.
Forget backlinks for now. Seriously. Spanish niches with low competition don't need them to start moving. Just publish consistently - 2-3 articles per week minimum, keep going for 6 months before judging results. Most people quit at month 2 when nothing has happened yet, that's the only real reason people fail at this.
You're not wasting your time but you will waste your time if you post 10 articles and expect results.

For a beginner, a blog is cheaper and simpler than YouTube, especially if you like writing. Starting in Spanish is smart since competition is lower. Namecheap hosting is fine, and posting 2–3 helpful articles per week is a good start. Don’t worry about backlinks or tools at first, focus on learning and being consistent. You’re not wasting your time, results just take time.

If you want to save money and reduce risk when starting, choose a Spanish blog, and consistently publish 1–2 helpful posts per week before worrying about backlinks or expensive tools.

If you like writing, a blog is probably better. It's cheaper than YouTube, especially if you're not into making videos. Namecheap is solid for hosting, pretty affordable. Start with 5–10 good articles, don’t stress about doing too much at once. Just keep at it, and don't worry about failing – you’ll improve over time!

In short — start with a blog, it’s cheaper and easier at the beginning. YouTube requires more time and resources. Publish 2–3 articles per week, and don’t spend money on backlinks right away. Most importantly, you’re not wasting your time — results just don’t come instantly

Go with the blog, especially since you like writing and want to keep things cheap, yt gets pricey with gear and editing time. Just snag some hosting for a year, focus on consistent, good spanish articles, and don't overthink the ai tools or backlinks early on

Start a blog..... Since you speak Spanish and you can set up a blog on Spanish and it's less competitive, do this.....

Find a niche you want to start with, then search a particular topic on that niche on Google (make the search in English), then, enter any of the websites that the search result bring up and copy the English contents and translate it to Spanish and then make some few editing on the contents and add your article picture. Here we go, it's ready to be publish...... You can do that multiple times and it's far better than writing with AI

Creating anonymous YouTube content and blogging requires a lot of time and a learning process. It takes about 4 months to a year.

If you're interested in writing, blogging is a better option. It's also more affordable than YouTube, especially if you don't enjoy filming videos. You can start with a stable, reasonably priced hosting service like Namecheap. Don't try to write too much right away—around 4-9 high-quality posts are enough to get you started. The important thing is consistency and not putting too much pressure on yourself to succeed quickly. With consistent effort, your skills and results will gradually improve over time.

In any case, you need to try both. If you have an idea, you need to bring it to life. I can recommend Grock—it animates pictures beautifully, and if you buy a subscription, you can even make entire films.

In my opinion you should start with a blog it’s less expensive and suits you since you like writing. No need to spend on backlinks or tools at the start, just focus on low competition Spanish topics and stay consistent.

Personally, I'd do a blog just because editing youtube videos is a headache. Especially as a beginner, you have to learn the software to edit videos. Will take hours just to get your first videos out.

if you prefer writing or rewriting AI generated content, a blog is the better starting point

YouTube channel has higher chances for growth with same effort. It would be my option for sure.

Go for a blog since you clearly prefer writing and it's way cheaper to start without needing fancy gear or expensive video editing tools. Honestly, just pick a niche you actually enjoy and use nc for hosting, but don't overthink the technical stuff or the failing part because consistency is the only thing that really matters
