Is it worth starting an eBay account from scratch to sell luxury fashion at scale (authentic)?

Can it be scaled sustainably, or will eBay create problems because the products will need to go through authenticity verification?

I don't think it is possible to sell high end stuff like that on ebay on a consistent basis, unless they recruit your brand, those accounts have special privileges. The issue is that, too many scammers on ebay scamming for luxurious item, you will be losing your products to scammers left and right.
 
This is what real hustle looks like. Staying consistent no matter what. Respect for the progress honestly.

Hey, really interesting to read about your journey. Just a question: If what you say is true and ebay does not use ssn to cross link accounts, then can i simply use the same ssn and open up a bunch of LLCs and just use those? Otherwise how could it be done?

Think about it, there are only 9999 numbers if they are banning people based on SSN. SSN is not a reliable suspension method. there are whole lot of other more relaible ways such as your IP, account environment, FEIN#, Bank account#. You can open a whole bunch of LLC, but you will have to shell out the reg fee, and annual you will pay minimum tax for alot of the states, this is not a risk free, cost free approach.

Another account taking flight, I predict the sale of this account will go from $1000 daily to $2000 daily in the next month. Looks like a bull flag, ebay stat is no different than stock after all.

Aha thank you so much. Can i ask you a few more questions? If so:
1) Do you just bear the cost for one new LLC for each new account? Do you use each LLC only once?
2)What bank do you reccomend?
3) Do you say static residential isp proxy or dedicated 5g mobile proxy (also static)?
4) Where do you say most people go wrong nowdays trying to start an ebay farm like you sir? Is it bad products, rushed warm-ups, or anything else?

1. Yes, we pay for registration and all taxes for each llc or company we created for ebay purposes. You can reuse the company
2. Nothing in particular, any banks that do not have business checking fees.
3. static residential proxy are not good for ebay accounts creation, most provider sell fake/low quality 5g mobile proxies. I don't recommend using proxy at all, unless you can get virgin proxies.
4. I think mentality is the biggest thing, you spent so much time just on account creation but that is not even remotely the hardest part. Most people don't think about the work involved when scaling up ebay, a high revenue ebay account can only be handled by a team of people, you can't run it in a mom and pop shop. When you need to hire people. office, storage, suddenly, your profit margin doesn't look that fat anymore. Many people who reached that stage would decide to quit because the profit margin is not what they enviisioned

1) Why do you do this? Why do you take time out of your day to share this information with us? Dont you fear us taking this information and becoming competitors?
2) Do you make all LLCs in the same state? Where do you obtain the different adresses for each account? Do you rent them? Do you rent them next to each other?
3) Do you use antidetect browsers at your level?
4) If you don't recommend using a proxy at all, what do you recommend using?
5) If you say you can re-use LLCs, do you reuse them normally after how much time? If not normally (meaning your account got banned), after how long can you reuse the same LLC, and if so, do you keep the same bank account and proxy when you reuse it or do you just reuse the LLC with everything else new?

1. It starts as a accountability thing, it still is. to add extra motivation to achieve the goal. Ebay is too big of a market, a few dozen more sellers is not even a drop in the pond. Thinking increasing a few competitors might affect you is hubris.
2. Yes same state for me, it is just easier to manage. Address is not important, you can use the same address.
3. Yes, only when running account after the account is ready to sell.
4. You should always get a ISP that offer ipv4 or to a lesser extent, your own mobile hot spot.
5. We normally wait for at least 3 months before recycling.
6. No automation, warm up should always be done manually and purposefully with great patience.
7. Have a good team of people who is not just here to get paid, but truly work toward company goal is important. I look at weekly sales numbers and I feel satisfaction and pumped when I see the number goes up year over year.
8. All the operation is in China, but they are located in different offices. Many new employees think they can make it on ebay after they started working and learning for 2-3 months, but they always failed once they start their own. Keeping them in separate groups will limit their bad ideas and save us time to hire people and train them.

Still some questions remain in my mind:
1) If i use same adress for all of them wont it link the accounts toghether?
2) You say to use llc and ein for identification, but ebay still asks me for the Beneficial owner, and their ssn? How do you do it without getting the ssn from other people?
3) How do i know if and isp ipv4 proxy is trully good for an account so that i dont sacrifice a lot to bad proxies?
 
Just to clarify, it's okay to use Multilogin browsers for warmup and account creation? If so using mobile hotspot while warming up then switching to residential proxys is recommended? Or is warming up and creating the account on a unique user profile, on a hotspot, then logging into that account on a Multilogin browser once ready to sell recommended?

1. There are much better way for ebay to track you, address contains too many variations, such as useing ave. verus ave versus avenue, they can track you based on more exact value such as your IP, Bank account#.
2. ebay only asks for last 4 digits of the account holder's ssn. I have alerady stated in this thread that I have used other's ssn with their permission.
3. proxy by definition is bad, all proxy provider lied, for example, their geo specific proxy are just using a masking method, if they said they are from california, the proxy might actually be from philipine, they just masked it so common users will see the proxy is based in CA. But ebay detection goes much deeper than that, so using proxy for account creation almost always don't work.

stealth browsers and proxy are not good for account creation in 2026.

but once your accounts survived the initial ban period, you can use stealth browsers and proxy to run the account.
