Just register for the top 50 directories. After that it may be a waste.

1. I don't spin my content. Not worth the time to me. I do, however, put a lot of keywords in those descriptions. 2. I don't use the same description as G+ Local, I take it from it's websites.

I'm finding that as well when I'm researching my competitors. Although I don't believe one should submit to any more than the top 50 directory sites, the rest may do future damage.
