You can do quite a bit with GSA. Once you keep all the settings low and only build certain types of links you can get some great tier ones with it.

Have you tried looking to see exactly what links are going into it? Try this search on Google, I'm sure you can guess roughly what it does: "domain" -site:domain Doesn't bring up everything but it will give you an idea what's pointing at it.

Ye ditto this. Google will ban your account like yesterday if you're churning to get the traffic. Lead gen is probably the best way especially in the UK market. It's not just payday loans that make decent payouts!!!

If your snippet doesn't match with what the searcher is looking for you might as well be on page 10 to be honest. Have a think about the keyword and try to get into the mindset of the person searching the term. If the keword is a buying term it might be a great idea to see what the most popular...

That service is great for tier 2, it's cheap too (You get what you pay for) If you want quality either do it yourself or be prepared to pay for someone to do the same is: It's gonna cost! If you have the passwords then login and change up the quality. It's unlikely they are gonna entertain...
