I'm throwing this out there to see what you all think 
I own a website, 14 years old now and was originally the "official" website for the niche i'm in. It's a PR3 / 4 depending on which way the wind is blowing and still have most of the massive authority links into it from way back when.
I currently rank top 5 for a navigational query (Basically people looking for the official website)
I do get some traffic for this but as you would imagine for a navigation query i don't get much.
The site has always sold a certain product which is related to the niche i'm in although this doesn't earn as much these days. There are however other things i could sell on a national / regional level.
Basically i'm torn between two options
1. Build an authority blog, target a slightly different niche and get the cash rolling in.
3. Roll the domain into my blog network.
What do you think?
