I've been reading that many successful companies leverage medium guest posting as a republishing content from your site on there - that way you can index and credit the content at your site first and show search engines that you're the author. The medium post will just be a duplicate content...

I have more than 10 sitemaps, and I submitted a sitemap index to google search console, but not all sitemaps were crawled (9 out of 10 weren't indexed). Am I missing a crucial step? The syntax to the sitemap index and the sitemaps themselves are fine, Google just isn't crawling the rest of them.
