@trendkill84 I know you said you suck at writing. Unfortunately for most things IM related you need to be convincing enough in what you write. There is a free code for grammarly on here as that could help level the playing field for you. As for YouTube don't see it as the sole means of getting money just a platform. If you want sustainability from your skills Id recommend by a domain in your name, get an IG, Facebook, Twitter, and interlink them together. There's so much money on the Internet it is outrageous. This way you take on clients as you grow, better your writing chops and write a cook book as it'll cost you nothing, just learn that if you are good at what you do it is worth building your brand.
There are tons of "cheats" to get your numbers up to increase your value but its all on you. The question is are you looking at it like a sprint or a marathon...
If I were you I wouldn't start from scratch if I had 15 years knowledge in an area I enjoy that much.
