Secret BHW MODS

Regarding the shitlist,....

This is option for every service buyer here. We don't need nor secret not agent 007 moderators here.

You have order a service and is not as advertised.. report it , escalate it , get your money back.. shame the saler

There are many noobs that come here, spend a lot of money and they dont even know what they are buying. They just blindly trust the seller

You know how the Marketing is working right? Like.. OP can't edit manually his thread. If he change something which have to do with the quality of the service it will be reviewed again.

Yes, If Buyer makes changes with the sales page, then it needs to be reviewed Again!

Yes and No..

But again we are coming back to what Ste Fishkin said "If a buyer is not happy they should tell people about the issues they faced."

e.g if a provider promose unlimited everything or DMCA ignoring or whatever and he don't then is YOU who will have to report that and of course get help by moderator for possible refund of your money!

Yea, I agree with your point!

But my point of saying is :- if buyer hits the report button, their posts / issue gets resolved soon but the thread still runs & same issue will be faced by the other member until the thread is reviewed / approved again.

Your don't understand me: A mod gets the best the seller can offer and leaves a stunning review.
The seller than goes on and brands the same service but does 50% of the initial work they did on their mod order.
The buyer thinks he is getting THE SAME service as the MOD that reviewed it.
Catch my point?

You clearly don't know how it works...

Who is going to pay for services ? or secret mod need to pay himself ? I will launch a service with minimum $300 package and pay $30 for a thread and secret mod buy my service its easy $270 profit, don't you think its going to cost $$$$. or i am missing something ?

We can make a kind of system, for example given to the customer the possibility to have their order evaluated by a moderator.

The new customer will be reassured to have this protection and the seller will never know if the order will be checked by a moderator so he will produce the same quality for everyone.

We are a community and should act as one when we are buying a product or service here.

If the product or service is inferior to what is offered in the sales thread we should make that known as a good member of the community. The Mods cannot possibly see everything which is why there is the report button as well as the shitlist section and also why one is allowed to leave a negative review in the sales thread where one purchased.

If as a community we all work together and share our experiences as a buyer in all the proper places then the level of BST management would be as it is envisioned by the management.

You get screwed, speak up.

Leave a review that is unflattering.

Should things not get solved, open a shitlist thread.

You see something that should not be on BHW, hit the report button.

It takes all of us to keep BHW the best IM forum and one does not have to wear a Mod hat to participate in that process.

Secret mod for keeping the quality up- is a good idea, but this will again open new ways to scam people, even sellers, if there is a rule commimg like this, its should be clear ,and should make things simpler not create any more complex.
And why not get re-approval for your selling thread every 1/3/6 month what suits that product.
Just like we choose 3 months
Then seller gets a approval, with a 3 months validity and then it will be renew by mod,

i agree completely
but its not a crazy idea either, the notion of secret mods/reviewers... consider the following scenario:
a rookie buyer gets a service,
and doesnt get the service he expected
and although he didnt get completely screwed, the rookie buyer feels short changed, or has to go back for edits/fixes/requests from the seller
and as a result he either:
1) cant be bothered to write a bad/mediocre review
2) is afraid to write a bad review as his website is exposed to seller
3) doesnt want to get into a back and forth with a seller and would rather just move on
which is why i can also see why the notion of a secret mod is appealing to many bhw members
but of course the reason its not appealing to bhw is bc as ste said it will cost $$

perhaps a better solution could be anonymous reviews, if that can be figured out from a technical end

Only flaw with this is the seller would "Put on his best suit and tie" every time a review came up. Nothing stopping them upping the quality for review time whilst delivering sub standard work for customers.

As @BassTrackerBoats said, the only feasible solution is if buyers start speaking out when things don't go as planned, this also is not without flaws though because as a newbie here I purchased a few services but had no idea if the quality was good or bad, I bought them based on the reviews in the threads.

Most of the "anonymous" reviews are fake

"2) is afraid to write a bad review as his website is exposed to seller"

And ?

"doesnt want to get into a back and forth with a seller and would rather just move on"

This is the main reason why low quality service exist

@back2form: Aside from what has been already said, you seem to forget about a little something. What about the funding? Who would fund the purchases? From what i understand, these should appear to be normal purchases and not free review copies. You can't expect anyone to fund this from his/her own pocket and you can't expect BHW to cover the costs either.

1) not sure what anonymous reviews you are referring to. but im saying if there was hypothetically a non-cumbersome way for buyers to coordinate with mods by sending them their reviews in confidence, that could be a workaround.
2) im mostly playing devil's advocate here, but youre saying that a buyer, in addition to shelling out xxx number of dollars, also has a responsibility to leave a review? Intrinsically one would be more inclined to leave a review for a free service.
2a) it depends on a buyer's motivation. i recently stayed at a really shitty hostel in europe, and i was chomping at the bit to write a vicious review on hostel bookers website, to essentially warn other travelers, and maybe, to extract a bit of revenge on the hostel for being so shitty and misrepresentatitve. its a bit more tricky on bhw. obviously if someone gets ripped off it would be ideal if they write a review. but im also saying i totally get why one would be like 'f it, im moving on'

As above ^^^

I have lost count of how many post's I have reported for selling outside the Marketplace, I don't need to be a Mod to do this, my JR VIP Executive was handed to me out of posting and doing things around the forum, is was welcomed but wasn't asked for.

If I can help out to make this place safer for everyone (buyers and sellers) then I will.

TBH i hardly write review for the services i order here, One of the reason is you don't really get a report. All i get is a email saying the your post are published and please leave a review on our BST, How can i review something i havent seen yet :D anyways now i have a good idea of sellers here (Trust me there just handful of good ones the rest are selling snake oil)
