If keywords are in my title and my title is in the breadcrumb.

Doesn't that become an extra set of keywords stuffed in my page?

OMG! Just went to google and did a search "breadcrumbs bad for seo" This post is number 4 on googles first page. In under one hour of me posting. WOW?

Bread Crumbs are site wide. Any post with around 300-500 words is going to get a vicious jump in over optimization.

They seem very helpful. But screw it. I dont think there SEO friendly. 2 out of 20 websites on the first 2 pages of google are actually using them. and 17 out of 20 are like , yea sure! there great!

You should make a post about "payday loans" and blast juicy gsa fivver links to your post.. rank and bank baby!

Yes they are bad. They basically spam your main keywords all over your content and it can lead to content cannibalization and very bad densities. They are best avoided.

I think your search is a personalized one because you're visiting blackhatworld often.

I cannot really comment on them from an SEO perspective as I have not really tested them in years but, and this could be a massive but, they can aid in actual usability of your website.

I know I use breadcrumbs to travel back without having to start from the homepage. With time on site being a factor in SEO maybe that would outweigh a potential negative that could be caused by them.

I am not sure if they are a benefit and I am certainly not sold on them being a bad thing but they can add to the usability of a site which could improve multiple other small SEO benefits.

Location breadcrumbs are not necessarily appropriate for sites whose content is so rich that single categories do not fully describe a particular piece of content. For this reason, a tag may be more appropriate, though breadcrumbs can still be used to allow the user to retrace their steps and see how they arrived at the current page.

Thank you for quoting wikipedia. Really helpful. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breadcrumb_(navigation)
