Hello, i was considering, if paypal can get your private informations like Name, subname, adress, phone and other things from your local bank. For example if someone scammed me, and I tell it to paypal, can they get the informations from the bank about that person who scammed me, and get my money back ? Thanks

No, any information held by your bank is confidential and nobody else can access it.

OP
Something's not right about the questions you're asking.

If you were genuine in your intentions, why on earth would you resort to dealing with someone who joins today and makes 2 posts, both on your thread.

OP, if there is a criminal intent of scamming then local banks are required by law to hand over bank account info to the investigation bodies. The process of presenting evidence to obtain a permit to do so would usually take between 6-8 months.

Paypal is not an authority. But Paypal can report the case to the relevant authorities involve. I am not referring to Paypal as an investigative authority. Also, this is a direct warning to those who attempt fraud and scam thinking that they can get away. It is certainly possible to extract info from bank (bank privacy act do not cover criminal prosecution).

Exactly my point, I was agreeing with your previous statement.

As you stated, it would take months for any sort of resolution.

This is very broad question,..
If you register to paypal using your real name, bank, creditcard, address.. yes ofcourse they can have it since you gave it from the first time.

If you register to paypal using Virtual Credit Card with fake name, bank and adress.. ofcourse they cant have your real address, name, bank and else.

If you use option 2, you will get problem if paypal doing random checking and ask for prove of information later day.

What ever your choice,.. DWYOR!

some edit: OP, if you intentioned to use paypal to scam someone using paypal.. dont do this because they have good scam-prevent system like dispute and they hold your account and your balance in it right away.

And they also suspend your account it if they see strange balance traffic to your account.

Also, they will suspend your account if they see strange login IP.

And if you really intentioned to use paypal to money-laundry your credit-card fraud.. believe me you'll get caught by interpol.

No they can't you bank will not give any information to paypal.

Yes your bank will not give anything to paypal,.. but paypal will give any strange behavior on paypal account information to local police, and local police have all the authority to ask all the information with the account, do you ever think about this?

yes they can if you upload money to paypal. but if you xfer monies to it then no.

are you looking for refund or to get info about the scammer?
info may cost more than refund
