What types of content should I provide?

I've started to build a site where I thought of combining material from different sources, provide it to the visitors and some articles in a blog-ish format, but I don't know if people really will like it. Anyone got tips on what content I should try to provide and what successful sites/blogs do provide? I've got experience in web-development and created the blog myself without wordspress etc so I've got a lot of room to improvise. Sorry if this is too vague.

I have not any specific content atm, I started out just showing in a cool format (designvise) instagram pics and youtube-videos but I figured that wouldn't be a suitable thing to do because people would prob rather go to youtube/instagram. So I'm thinking about what content I should provide. So it isn't strictly a blog but it contains other types of content aswell.

try to define it as strictly a XYZ blog.

Replace the XYZ with any niche, focus area you like.

The best way to start, at least to get accustomed to is by creating a blog for one of your passions.

And then look on BHW or online on ways to develop, create content and to promote your blog.

what exactly are you trying to achieve? are you looking for more traffic? if that's the case, I suggest niches that don't have too much competition. you'll have a better chance to get traffic that way, especially when you use services like those from ultimatewebtraffic or fiverr or something. don't make it too niche though cuz your pool won't be that big.

Instead of combining materials from different sources, I would recommend focusing on creating unique and long pieces of content. Google will love that, especially if you will find some good keywords for them.

Forget about what you should write! Content writing is more about creativity. So think on which category you've got the most idea. Then apply your creativity and take your time..Success will come

You can hold it to multiple niches and see which one catches fire first and then focus on that.

Write unique, informative, and relevant content to your keywords and websites. Don’t copy any content from other sites.
Try to put long content and update the contents regularly.

First and foremost, you have to select your niche then pick up keywords and look the competition of that keywords. After that, write high-quality and unique contents on your site. Google will surely love your site.

Where does your visitors come from. Tailor pages that rank with what people want to read. To catch fire you can do Facebook campaigns with Clickbaits.
