Ddos attack defense with Amazon route 53?

Hello,

I am wondering how does Amazon route 53 deal with DDos attacks? Does it provides protections as Cloud Flare does? Because it seems lots of big sites are using it also, any good video or tutorial to learn how to set it up? Trying to search for it but did not find anything useful.
