So recently I was browsing the black markets on telegram.. I saw this guy offering an e-book for 50 dollars. I got interested since I want to learn as much as possible regarding instagram. I'd like to monetize an account.

I bought the e-book. The guy told me to pay via "friends and family" on Paypal. I was so naive to just go with it. The guy was very friendly.

After I payed the 50 dollars I got the e-book as promised. Now the e-book was just a summary/short version of an e-book I already purchased in the past. It was kind of stolen from the original author. They changed the title of the book but for the most part the layout etc was all the same. The info was also all the same.

I kindly asked him if I could get my money back. He said he would pay it back to me but it takes awhile he said because the money was automatically transferred to the bank from his paypal etc etc etc.

After one week of waiting I contacted him again. He kept beating around the bush. after 2 weeks I contacted him again. I eventually got pissed off at him. He eventually blocked me I think on telegram.

Is there anyway I can get my money back? Any tips for buying a product on black markets?

If not, lesson learned I guess.

I can't think of any way to get your money back but you would do the original author a great service by contacting him and letting him know someone is selling his book.

I already did that but I don't think he got his book copyrighted. The original author didn't mind. Thanks for the reply!

Other than him copying a book, it is a unique book and he never promised about it not being a rehashed version. I think like you said, lesson well learned.

you could always refund from paypal lol. just say it wasnt you who sent the money. will win the dispute 100%

i won in the past money that i send as a gift, just contact paypal , open dispute

So I open a dispute and what should I say? Is "not happy with the product" a legit reason?

Thanks everyone for the help!

I mean, he said he'd sell you an ebook at that's what he did.

Just because you were expecting something more, doesn't mean you should get a refund

That's true. I understand that. It was just like "ugh" when I opened the e-book and saw it was just a shortened copy of an e-book I already possessed. Just wanted to see if there is any way I could get my money back. Losing 50 dollars won't kill me but it's still 50 dollars you know ;)

I dont believe in ebooks....usualy they contain information that you can find anywhere on the web for free, right here on blackhat forum. There is no magic hack that anyone is willing to sell you....

I agree. I only recently found these forums .. :)

I agree that you need to contact the author and let them know that someone is stealing part of their work.

Already did that.. But he claims to earn 70k a month from his instagram account so he told me he wasn't bothered with guys stealing the e-book. The e-book isn't copyrighted I guess.

Since the original author doesn't mind infringement just rename the book and sell it yourself at half price :)
Get your money back that way.

The guy who sold the copied e-book told me "I could get the rights to the book for 100 dollars so I could start selling it myself". How can I check if the e-book is copyrighted?
+ I could sell it but I always think I only have a 2k instagram account -.- that doesn't show credibility :p
