Dear Diary, Why Is Marketing So Frustrating?

Today I started getting into Instagram. Since Dotsya doesn't have a working mobile, she has to resort to crappy emulators. Nothing is as simple as it seems at first. I try this and I try that, but it's all so exhausting. So tell me my sweet, sweet diary, when will Dotsya have her breakthrough?

Yesterday was a more friendly day. Dotsya went on Reddit and found someone promoting her website (huh?). She has no idea who it was or why they even care. Who really cares so much about a stranger like me?

I miss playing on my PlayStation. The original Resident Evil games had hilariously bad acting, hahahah~!.

Can't possibly be horror. The campyness is too strong.​

So far, I have a couple of people wanting to help me and do JV. I would like to see where this leads. I hope they don't try to scam me. Then again, what exactly is there to lose with someone like me who has less than 3 dollars to my name?

I didn't go to the store today. We are running out of cash, but it was cold and lightly snowing outside. I decided that I'll wait a few more days before going to Linella. The market might be open, though. Hmm, I wonder what I'm gonna eat for breakfast. I'll probably have to cut the chicken breasts.

Crap, gotta figure out how to make a sale on CB and try not to get banned. Wonder when dad is coming back from the US. Naw, too late for work. I guess I'll go watch the Fast and the Furious 6.

I think the majority of people in this industry can relate. I can definitely remember back in the day feeling lost, not sure what to do, or if it would work at all.

My biggest piece of advice is to never stop learning .. Stick to ONE method, and put it the work DAILY .. Seriously, don't kid yourself by saying you did 8 hours of work when in reality you did 15 minutes of work, and the rest watching Youtube videos and reading Reddit. Do some SERIOUS work, and you will learn an insane amount in a short period of time.

Once you have found your method, stop learning about 'methods' .. Learn about Digital Marketing. Learn about SEO, learn about PPC, learn about Social Media etc etc . .This will help you become a more well rounded marketer, and once you become more well rounded, more doors will start opening for you.

If you spent less time writing out inane pointless threads and posts, less time playing video games and watching movies and the completely childish soul-suck waste of space that anime is, and more time actually working, I can guarantee you would be doing a lot better than you are now. Your writing is not the worst. Better than most on here for sure. You're at six months and 100 posts. Why not upgrade to Jr. VIP and start a content writing service?

...But I've said all that to you before, and I'm just a stranger on an Internet forum who can't tell you how to live your life, and it's not even any of my business. It's just extremely sad when you are watching someone bitch and moan about not succeeding when the real reason why is so blatantly obvious. You seem smart, and I'm sure people have told you that your whole life. But there's a difference between writing long words and essays online and knowing how to utilize your intelligence effectively.

Here's an idea. Every time you refer to "yourself" in the third person, put a quarter in a jar. That's a start.

I think Dotsya wastes way too much time moaning and writing on her thread rather then work, SEODean have also read Dotsya journey and he thinks that he waste time on useless work and then gets demotivated when nothing happens. Diary Rant No. 1 - What Does It Matter?

Dotsya doesn't bitch and moan; she's not a pornstar.

What is a waste of time? We are tiny, practically infinitesimal specks in this vast universe. Time doesn't go anywhere, only our perception of time does. Our memories make time mean anything. If we measure distance in time, we notice that it might as well go on for eternity, in an ever expanding line. Whether you are 10, 20, 40, or 80... it is irrelevant. Nothing lasts forever.

Civilizations come and go. Matter decays. Someday your online and offline businesses will evaporate like water in the desert. You get up, eat, work, sleep and continue the process. You have kids and pass on the information only to have an unforeseen event come and take it all away a few generations down, dissolving the family line.

You simply can't look me in the eyes and tell me that somehow what you are doing is more important. Are you here on earth for a prize? Do you expect to be rewarded for all of the hard work you put into your family business? All for what, for a few decades of comfort?

Dotsya already had years of "chill" time. While you lot were struggling to achieve something, I was playing games all day and doing whatever I wanted. I might not have been rich, but I was able to go where I pleased and go to sleep at any part of the day without worrying about the ramifications.

Do I regret my choices in life? Honestly, hell no because who I was back then is not who I am today. I've had my moments of peace and quiet. In fact, I look at people these days and everyone is always rushing somewhere, like little worker ants going about their day. Then they party, do drugs and get wasted on the weekends. Yay, what a life, eh? Except, it's all crap.

Dotsya knows her worth in this world and she is still going to achieve more than most will in their lifetime, but I'm not going to say that it has more meaning in the physical sense than whatever it is that other people are doing.

I, too, have my religious beliefs and am not actually nihilistic. Just pointing out a major flaw in the way most people view reality. I have had many smart-ass relatives acting as though their hard work and 'good deeds' somehow made them better people. When in fact they were just hypocrites attempting to compensate for the fact that they led miserable little lives.

So go ahead, believe whatever you want to believe, which you will in any case. It's not going to mean a damn thing in the end, but that's not my problem, Ahahah~.

Diary Rant No. 2 - Being Positive For What?

I've been positive and I've been negative. I learned that emotions are just that; emotions. They are used to tell us when something is wrong. That something, pretty much always needs fixing. The brain is a powerful thing, we can delude it into believing whatever we want. But it doesn't change the fact that shit will happen. You can smile and you can cry, is it gonna put food on your table? When you are walking down a straight line, being positive and negative has little to do with the destination.

Can you prove without a shadow of a doubt that the reason you are where you are is because of your positivity? That being positive leads to happiness (which happiness?) and success? I don't have a time machine in order to relive my past, so your guess is just as good as mine.

Many people talk about becoming wise with age, but they are mainly referencing conventional wisdom which comes from our life experience. My life experience and your life experience are two different things. There are always factors outside of our control regardless of how we choose to view them. When you are set on fire, whistling isn't magically going to make the pain go away.

All of that meditation stuff is fluff used to stoke our pineal gland into having some sort of euphoric seizure. Woo! look at me - I am now enlightened. Except, I'm still here trapped in this body. I've been drunk before and didn't like the fake "positive" feeling. It makes one vulnerable to another sort of problem; stupidity.

Well, you do seem to justify why you did not do more etc. Like @Sherbert Hoover said , in the end it is your life but what use does it have posting this here? Do you make more money? Does it make you do more?

Also, I am not sure about anybody else but I was able to go wherever I wanted in the last few years. Took tons of vacations, made good enough money, moved few times, no debt have all I want for now ... Point is, you can do what you want even if you have a 9-5, or work in IM and all. One does not automatically exclude the other one. Guess what, if I want to I can play video games for hours, but it just does not do much for anymore so maybe play couple times a month/year at best on the PS4...

Of course both positive and negative are just emotions, but they feel completely different .. One feels good, and the other feels bad. Why not optimise your life to always feel good?

You sound insanely depressed in my opinion. I have been there before. When you are questioning the need to feel positive emotions at all, I think it's time to start taking it a bit more seriously.
