Yes it will and in some case random anchors can actually be more beneficial than using the same keyword anchors again and again. You want to go with natural styles really. Like you will want to share just the domain name, brand name, main keywords from there you will go with some generic ones like "over here" "check out brand names article" and then the non genric ones that you make up on the spot.
Trial and error mate trial and error. All links that are do follow will be link juice even some "no follow" ones do work too. It's only natural to have a mixture of both, weather google chooses to follow that link or not is there own choice they dont just go oooo a "no follow" link i can't get passed that and walk off lol. There just less likely to add it to one of your pages ranking factors. But always remember just because it's a do follow link and google does index it, it does not mean it will automatically give you juice.
Content is key so make sure its awesome stuff before you start backlink hunting.
