I was using adwords for youtube as a means to gain exposure to my channel but it is too expensive. 0.05 for each view has really little value.

I am building a real channel and I have around 6500 subscribers so far. All real. I don't mind working for two years before it starts to pay off but I want to know what is the most efficient way to get real views.

Thanks!

Reddit is a best sauce to gain views, you can also try contacting webmasters in your niches and ask for video embeds they wont have much problem with it.

Thanks for the reply!

Are you referring to Reddit paid advertising?

you have to play a simple game , buy some views , make the content awesome , play with tags .& at the end check my signature .

Dont go reddit way until you are really really really pro at it and can fool thousands of people because reddit user's are tech savy and they can smell self promotion from miles away think of them likes bunch of seo gurus that won't fall into your "Get Free Unlimited Amount of Traffic" thing

If you are bad at it the most you can get out of it is 1% retention and bunch of dislikes if you play it wrong

Remember the sole purpose for me here is to gain legitimate exposure to my legitimate videos, which by the way could be interesting and informative to a very broad audience.

Do you have any idea about the cost of promoting on Reddit?

I am working with Reddit. I have 10 Reddit accounts on different IP addresses. If you upvote your video in 10 minutes with 10 accounts you can get into the HOT page of most of subreddits. Than you get tons of views. Video must be unique and really interesting/funny/etc. (depending on subreddit). If you are interested PM

Right, but remember reddit users HATE self promotion, unless your video are REALLY REALLY helpfull and interesting I wouldn't touch reddit.

I dont know the cost never wass into reddit ads but my instinct tells me it is dog sh **

I have a journey on BHW with Reddit + YouTube. Some of my accounts have more than 5000 karma.
My problem is new YouTube channel and only 6 subscribers :)
Most of Reddit moderators check YouTube channel, number of subscribers and number of views video already have.

So if the youtube channel has a few subs the mod of Reddit will suspect it and delete it?
It depends on the subreddit. If you post it on one of the most popular subreddits like /videos your video will be deleted for sure. Of course if your video is wow wow wow then maybe you have a chance.
You should start from smaller subreddits having about 100 000 subscribers. There moderators are not so strict.
Moreover never post only your own videos. Mix it with other good videos. A good rule is when your own videos are 10% of all posts :)

aside from using reddit the BH way, did anyone actually try using their ad program? Any ideas about the average cost of 1000 impressions?

I find it really surprising that no one had ever talked about building a youtube authority channel before. I have made a couple grands with my channel and it only has 6500 subs due to some videos getting viral. I know it works and that is my drive.

There must be a way to promote your videos genuinely. But spending 5 cents for a view is a very bad investment in my opinion, from my experience that is like saying $20 per subscriber. There was a time when youtube adwords was very cheap and effective, but now it has become very competitive and no longer a playground for small players like us.

i've used reddit ads a while back, the video was in a very little gaming niche and i got almost anything from it, to be honest ... reddit community is so nerdy that i believe they just don't even look at those ads.
but that's just my personal experience on one small campaign.
to have success on reddit, either you are very very very good, or you already have a big follow of people (in wich case you don't really need reddit)
