Can I legally steal this video?

Hey guys. So I'm planning to use a youtube video testimonial from someone else.

Can I get in legal trouble, considering that I'll embed it into a page and make it unlisted?

So it wont rank in google, bing nor youtube.

If the owner finds that video, can I get sued?

Also can I use his comments for my text testimonials?

Yes you can get sued but I doubt anyone would sue you over that... Just embed his videos and that's the way you help each other. You bring him views and you use his video and earn money from it on your page..

Please don't think it is okay to steal someone's else work. Just go ahead and create or hire someone to make you a testimonial video instead of stealing another video. Respect other people's work and do the right thing, make your own video. Good luck!

if he has the setting for embedd then he / she is giving permission for it to be used. the video will be exactly as it is on Youtube. You will not get sued for embedding as the original owner gets all the benefits. I have built huge sites for Yoga etc using original articles and embedded videos.

Yes, but to cover your a** make sure it's okay to embed and if it is, make sure you don't write somewhere that the video content belongs to you. And maybe you should read into the embed policy of youtube, since it's hosted on their site. Just give credit and you'll be fine.

the fact that the original owner has allowed it to be embedded means that permission has been granted, you can turn that off if you don't allow it.

yes and if the original owner has annotations they show up on embedded videos and adsense will show and the original owner gets paid, that's why they allow embedd

This is the correct answer. If I video has the embed option available then the owner has given express consent for anyone to embed it as per YouTube's terms. Your not stealing anything. Read YouTube's terms if youre concerned. It's in there.

But you'll have a pissed off competitor thwt will report your site for other reasons or try to screw you over somehow.

in fact i also do that, so far got one person contact me. She claim that video I put on my v blog is from some one else account in youtube aka this person steal her video. What she told me MUST input the correct youtube link which is directly from her channel as she is creator. I just changed it and put her link. In fact is a win win situation here. Actually I know what she want, she don't want other youtuber steal her traffic since i put my v blog. I give her traffic also on the same time i affiliate her product , in the end She is happy I changed and put her link. as she know , her video will get traffic from my site beside youtube.

Basically those youtubers themselves will know to get traffic from youtube is very competitive. If you have huge followers, subscriber well not problem is a massive traffic from youtube but in order to rank in youtube also quite challenging. Thus they don't mind people use their video provided is original from them , but a lot out there are using one another video thus sometimes you find it hard don't know who is the original creator for that video. And you noticed those establish youtuber will put their website link , social media info inside their video to prevent people claim is theirs. Lastly they don't mind people use their videos on website as this is another way to get additional traffic beside youtube.

Just ask permission from the owner of that video you use and steal it legally. If you don't get the permission from the owner, steal that video and make some change in it. Like if it is a compilation video then you can cut and shuffle them all and combine all the video as one with help of video edition tools. You can also add the watermark of your logo or signature in it.
