So today out of the blue I've received a voice mail from a Unkown number.

The voice mail said Something about cl documents( hard to hear but what it sounded like) with my name and social security number on it. Then she went on to say to be home between 12pm and 5pm, she is going to stop by my residence to deliver papers or something like that.

The lady went on to say a witness someone over 18 had to be present and I have to provide I'd.

I guess I'm worried this lady is going to show up at my house. The name is a stealth name she mentioned on the voice mail, not my real name. She also said something about social security number. I've had hundreds of stealth accounts I can't recall leaving my legit social security number on any account. So I'm assuming the social she has is a random number I made up.

I can't recall what address she has, she didn't was what residence she was going to so I'm also assuming it's a stealth address. That's what I'm hoping for.

Assuming this lady has my legit address, have no idea how she would but if she ends up knocking on my door tomorrow what are my options?

She left a number to call regarding this, I told them I'm reconfigure phone calls about a debt and a name I never heard of on my line. The operator said they'd put me on a no call list, I said what if this person ends on my doorstep with legal documents she says I have nothing to worry about if that person isn't me.

I just don't want to be shamed because my 2 cousins and a couple of my siblings live with me.

She also said the voice mail she left is legal notification she is coming, idk if she is trying to scare me or what.

I do know I owed money on my legit Paypal, but she left a voicemail not using my name and a stealth name.

Anyays I know this is a lengthy post and this won't really help anyone else out except me since this is a special situation but what are my options, should I be worried?

What is cl documents? I googled it and can't find anything about it so I do if I misunderstood her or what.

Please give me some knowledge.

I forgot to add apparently my legit phone number was on the stealth account which is throwing me off how they got that? U less I put it down on the stealth account and forgot about it. I don't know why I'd put my phone number on a stealth account but I must of if they have it unless they tracked it somehow

if what you are saying is true, and they're calling you to collect a debt, then I doubt someone will show up at your residence.

If you in the uk

You would receve a letter before any one try to
Have any legal discussions with you .

A appointment has to be set by you and the other party

If anybody turns up and you didnt ansaw the door then there have to post a letter explaining why they visited and warn you there taking legal action.

If it a collection agancy you still needed to be informed via letter before comming to your property

No bailiff is allowed to get in your home unless you open the door and then stright away that legal access to them.

A bailiff has the right to go thru any Windows or doors that are not closed or shut.

If you got a car and it there when a bailiff is at your home, they have the right to remove it but only if it not on hp.

If the courts send in the serifs they have full rights to break into a home only to get payment via the person owing it.

Serifs are from heigh court and hold special badges and dont need to inform you when coming, that the judge that sends them to collect debt , if u are skint they can ,there and then ,make you bankrupt , there give u a form of bankruptcy.

That it

You can get free help from citizen advise and law center .

All above only uk

Good luck.

Ps.
Paypal would of went down the lines of.

A legal letter , if ignored a debit letter, then heigh court.

Paypal will not just ring or leave any stupid message there get there own legal team involved and it all paper work and if ignored courts.

But if you can prove you have no money or a very low income, you might have the opetunety to setup a monthly payment plan, on the cheap till the debt is all paid off ,that go for paypal and serifs and debit collectors.

Okay very helpful, do you know of any of the u.s laws? Also I never did receive a letter of any kind, is it possible they sent out letters but agin it is a stealth address and they just went to the stealth address instead since that's all they had on file?

I just gave the voice mail another listen the lady said give me a call in regards to CL Document with your name and social security number she then proceeded to say she was coming to my residence sometime between 12pm and 5pm to serve these documents.

I'm not to concerned about it because I've received nothing in the mail regarding any kind of debt owed. So that to me indicated they don't even have my address. Not only that they don't have my real name it's not even close. The stealth name has my middle name and that's it and my middle name is very common.

I'm just worried and the only thing throwing me off is how they got my number in assuming I put it on the account. I'm hoping that's how they got it and not by tracking it some how.

Anyways more answers, advice or similar experiences are welcomed.

I'm just worried because for someone to come out to someone's residence they must be taking them to court. How didn't they figure out that's a fake person. Via public records and realize the name and address don't match along with the social security number unless they just don't care if it's a fake person and like wasting resources.

I'm just real nervous because The last thing I need in my life is legal issues. I think I'm in the clear even if they show up at my door some how since the name doesn't match mine.

It also said in the voice mail to call a number to put a stop service to her coming to my residence and by doing that I'm almost admitting to them the person on that line( my end of the phone aka me) owes money.

They gave me a claim code or somthing

Doing some quick research on court summons in the USA, according to wikipedia:

Civil summons - (this is not a criminal case)
A civil summons is most often accompanied by a complaint. Depending on the type of summons, there is often an option to endorse a summons so that the entity being served may be identified. In the court system in California, for civil unlimited cases in the superior court, a summons will often have these options to endorse:

  1. as an individual;
  2. as the person sued under the fictitious name of __________________;
  3. on behalf of (usually for a company); or
  4. by personal delivery on __________

But if they are referring to you by the fictitious name, they may not know who you really are so you shouldn't be liable.

Why don't you try finding this fake account and seeing if your real phone number is linked to it?
Also does the Socials Security Number match yours?
And did she mention where she was calling from?

To my understanding they have to know who (you) used the stealth name. But I could be wrong, I am not a lawyer.
