@loopline i really enjoyed your videos and now watching the one about plugin for scraping expired domains.
I like to know who is your go to private proxy provider? I tried two providers one is reverse proxies and another is myprivateproxy. Both of them provided me with 5 private proxies and both of them failed the "google test result" when I tested it on scrapebox.
My question is, is it normal for any form of proxies(even for private/dedicated) to fail the test and i could just proceed to start scraping on google? if it's not normal then I am really disappointed by them and their service as I am being left hanging for the past 8 hours plus.
I hope you could recommend me some of your go to private proxy providers. Appreciate your help.
Well reverse proxies has, I think, the reverse service - which uses a big pool and then the private service, which is private.
My private proxy is private or shared I think.
Anyway, what you experienced is normal in all cases, However it will improve, probably.
So let me break it down.
If your using the reverse service with the large pool of ips, I can't predict that, it could be all over the map.
If your using private or shared service from these providers or even my favorite provider, which is buyproxies.org then it can still happen. Because google typically bans for 48 hours or so, so when proxies get rotated and assigned, someone else could have some google banned proxies and they could literally drop those and then you could get them hours later. So way less then 48 hours and your still riding on the prior users ban.
this has actually happened to me with a lot of providers over the years. This isn't the providers fault, the other user got them banned, and you get to ride it out. So if you wait 48 hours with no requests to google, they will typically be unbanned.
In the case that they are not unbanned then they are possibly/probably permanently google banned, which isn't exactly rare, but its not common either. Ive not seen many proxy providers have ips perma banned by google, but it is possible none the less.
In the mean time while you wait try bing, yahoo and then the google powered engines - deeperweb, google api, and startpage - these all get results from google but have their own ip bans.
The reason I like buyproxies is they work, and they have worked for me for like literally years. They always have great support, they are always on point and they always fix any issues that may arise. They are fast too, Myprivateproxy is fast as well.
I like myprivateproxy well enough and have used them and still have them on my recommended list here:
http://scrapeboxfaq.com/scrapebox-proxies
the reason I actually choose to stick with buyproxies is their API. I have a server farm and I have a script that updates all the proxies for all my servers from buyproxies via their API. I know blazing SEO has the API now I think as well (haven't used them, but I have talked at length with the owner and he seems like a honest straight up guy).
Anyway buyproxies is seamless for me and moving proxies for a dozen servers with all sorts of scripts and programs tied into it is no small task. Plus I have hundreds of proxies from buyproxies and at that level they give me a bit of a discount which is nice too.
But myprivate proxies is good too, Id wait the 48 hours and see what happens. Not saying reverse is bad, just haven't really used them, except briefly and it was some time ago.
Thats my 2 cents.
Glad you like the videos.

Wow this thread is 901 pages long. I am a noob and just joined BHW i dont know where to start reading from.Wanted to know what works and what no longer works since this thread started 2009
probably easier to just buy it and start using it and then you will find out. Or read around BHW, I mean there are probably 5000 new features since this thread was launched, and V2 brought even more, most people say its a must have tool, but it just depends on how you want to use it, because it can be used for tens of thousands of applications.
