I have checked the statistics on the OP video, and the views have died down after 25 May. Were you sending views till 25 May, or was it because of the 'New' feature that you were getting views, and now you are not?

The effect seems to have been for 10 days after which the views have stopped.

It looks like he stopped sending views in 24 May.

good catch, i sent heavy traffic until it went out from the "NEW" status on the index, and i slow it to 100 VPH (views per hour) i'm waiting a bit and i will blast again with 10K-20K VPH to see the impact (it there will be such)

yes correct, as mentioned above, but reducing traffic didn't helped so now i will re- boost it, just to see if there is any impact on ranking, the current status is now:

Even if you get removed after some time you can still get the money, and keep doing it with other random channels.

I have two questions tho.

thanks mate, yes this is an old channel i never used, so it was a good candidate for this experiment, i really don't care about that video/channel , i care to see if we learn something new from it.

I'm an actual gaming YouTuber with my full real name known, so I don't want to get any negative 'doxing' type bs by getting caught using this method..

I'm doing this for 1,5 Years now and I'm struggling to gain an audience, I'm stuck at about 4,8k Subs and about 1k real views from my subs per video.. Videos get released almost every second day.. I do aggressive marketing for my videos in related FB Groups with over 10-20k Members and gained my existing audience with this method.. but that does not satisfy me anymore, hence I'm seeing others in the same niche who post sh*t videos with no editing skills or whatsoever, getting bigger and bigger whilst I'm even using an greenscreen and still struggle hard..

How much views would I have to send to an ~10min long unlisted released video to achieve about 20-30k real views? It would look suspicious when one video gets e.g. like 5k bought views, then fails to rank/trend at all and everyone finds out, that these were fake..

Would be glad if anyone could help me out to grow my channel

And how many paid views did you send to the video and what would the cost be to a "normal" person like the rest of us here?
And did you actually land on the first page of youtube or google?

Ok i agree that was far too much traffic and i'm convinced that we can achieve the same goals with much much less traffic...

what we are going to do now...we will try to repeat the same process again, but with a low level of traffic to see if this can fit to a low budget and fast turn around.

starting almost fresh, same channel, another unlisted video, but we are going to use the same tags, title, description as the last video

1. unlisted video (uploaded on NOV 22 2014, same as the first video)
2. copied the title, tags, description from the first video
3. started to send FULL RETENTION TRAFFIC worldwide around 15K-20K per day.
4. the budget is $40 (100K)

after we get 40K we will go public, and see the result if any...

This seems a little different than the original articulation of this thread, which implied a "completely new video" had ranked. I am optimistic you can duplicate your results with a same day video, but we'll have to see that in your tests.

Anyway, you know who I am. Any thoughts on why it didn't work for me? Niche, not enough views, turned it live too soon? Turned it on in the middle of day three. Delivered views ended this morning, and no views have come since. Thus, it didn't work for me at all.

ok, 18 hours after we started we got 38,774 on YT counter (i sent views in ULTRA FAST mode and not FAST mode) in real time i can see 55K that was sent, so it's about time to go public.

the main experiment worked we managed to rank an old video that got massive traffic while it was unlisted, but since we used too much traffic on it, it's wasn't efficient, so we now trying different approach with much less traffic.

i do not recommend that, the full retention traffic is for ranking purpose only, although i did test on monetized videos, the CTR will be low and it will not generate the projected revenues, so best practice is to use the full retention views for ranking/trending.
