is there any way to teach scrapebox to post comment? because i find several auto approve site that scrapebox cannot comment into..
Yes. Just go into your scrapebox folder >> configuration folder >> platforms folder - in this folder you will find the definition files used by Scrapebox for fast poster.

Model a definition file after them for the platform(s) that you want to train and restart Scrapebox and it will automatically pick them up and work with them (assuming you set the files up correctly and its compatible).

This info will also be helpful:
http://scrapeboxfaq.com/when-traini...oster-to-new-forms-what-variables-can-be-used

then once you train it I encourage you to post the definition files and share them with everyone so we can all benefit. Perhaps Scrapebox support may even want to add them into Scrapebox.

Do/can you offer a discount on the ScrapeBox Yellow Pages Scraper plugin please? I think you still offer a $59 discounted price for all 4 premium plugins, but at the moment, I need the SB YP Scraper plugin "very badly" :), so please let me know if you offer a special discount on it (ScrapeBox Yellow Pages Scraper).

Thank you!

Hello!

Haven't used scrapebox in a while so I have some questions. I need to use google scrape. I've got 10 private proxies but they die fast in less than 1h.

I used 1 thread, 10seconds delay between searches, 60 seconds delay after 5 searches (when it changes the kw).

So... what settings do you recommend? Do I need more proxies?

Thanks guys!

I'm having difficulties scraping Google now, even with private proxies from BuyProxies (even the American ones), they just don't work. Any tips for this? Also, on that note, I was interested in purchasing the Rank Tracker but would need to use proxies and I am concerned it might not be able to check the rank if Google disallows the proxies. Also I'm wondering if I can check US Google from a non-US proxy.

Any advice?

And are you offering the discounted rate for the premium plugins still?

Im pretty sure they don't ever just arbitrarily offer discounts. I know there is the 5 plugin bundle and the Christmas one is still going for 4 plugins, which is a really good deal

But thats all Ive ever seen. But the yellow pages scraper is worth double the price it is anyways, in fact I think competitor products are at least double that price, so its already discounted.

You either need more proxies or more delay. See at the bottom of this post, I have a video that will help you:

On the rank tracker, I don't use proxies, I just use a delay of 60 and it works fine while I sleep.

You could use US proxies, but if they were to get blocked then you are correct, it would not check any results. But you could just use a delay of 60 with 5 or 10 proxies and probably be fine, as long as your not trying to go really deep. I check 100 results per page and the top 100 only for google

You could check US google with a non US IP, but your rank results may vary, they vary anyway even in the US, sometimes quite greatly, based on IP.

Great video... Thank you.

Have you considered having Scrapebox show the captcha challenge which you can fill in manually or use a captcha service for? Many times I get blocked from searching but it offers me a captcha to prove I'm human.

I have 10 private proxies, what do you reckon is a good timeout setting and number of connections? I have it at 1 connection in the options, but I'm using detailed harvester (not sure if detailed harvester listens to settings I set in the settings menu) at a delay of 20.

Btw how many threads should I use on the Expired Domain Finder with 10 private proxies?

I purchased it (Yelow Pages Scraper premium plugin = YPS) for $37 a few hours back. :) Had some time to test it, and am already impressed by the speed it fetched the results, and how easily it made that happen! My earlier scraper was a PITA to begin with (of course it got the results), and I had to literally "teach" it how to go about scraping. The YPS offers no such pains! lol. It's easy to select the fields and other such things required to scrape the targets is quite advanced and yet very user-friend. I am impressed! $37 well spent on a very useful tool...

Buying the premium plugin was also cool -- right from inside the ScrapeBox (I'm using the version 2+), and its installation was also very quick and easy! After paying and then getting the email from ScrapeBox, I began using the tool in almost no time at all! So, thanks for a wonderful scraper tool, SB guys! :)

Simply had to say these words of appreciation on this thread....

P.S.:
Can you guys make this happen through the YPS? >>
If a email, or a contact name, or a phone (or whatever important related data is missing on the YP record) is not found on YP, BUT if a website-URL is found on YP, then can the SB-YPScraper go into the website and try to find and retrieve those things from there (the website)? This could make the YPS a real versatile scraper imo... Not too hard job for you guys, I know! :)

P.P.S.:
yellowpages.co.in is growing fast. Please include it in the YPS soon... India is already a very huge and a very fast growing market, you see. There may of course be other such Indian yellow pages services too but I don't use them so not asking for them to be included, but YP India can be added as fast as you can, imo.

P.P.P.S.:
Well I could've purchased the "Christmas pack" for a hugely discounted price, but really speaking, I don't have much broader work for SB. I needed the YPS to help me in finding leads to my own online business, where I sell a versatile tool for xxxxxxxxxx businesses (another one for another niche is getting ready for marketing soon), and I am sure that YPS will make my task of finding potential customers extremely easy now for marketing both those tools. So buying the YPS was quite necessary, and the initial tests are showing good results, and without toiling too much like earlier. :)

Thanks again! God bless!

Thank you Loopline, that video helped a lot! But whow... 50-100 proxies to scrape 1 thread... scraping is becoming expensive!

Actually browsing what you posted got me interested in yellow page scraper, so just installed it. Seems pretty amazing!

Can I scrape multiple cities, or just 1 city at a time?

One small issue, scraped results stays on 0 while scraping, the counter. The results are coming in, but counter is 0 while scraping, counting at the end when I press stop. I wonder if works for you, or maybe it's on me since I installed on old machine windows xp.

12 hours or less.

Btw how many threads should I use on the Expired Domain Finder with 10 private proxies?

I would use 10 threads with 10 proxies on the expired finder, or maybe 20. It doesn't use google.

I would try a larger delay, 10 proxies, maybe 30 delay, Im guessing. I have 50 proxies on 1 sever as an example and I use an 11 second delay with 50 proxies. I can scrape for weeks on end without getting blocked with this setup. I might be able to shave it closer, but it works and its long term and I like to keep it a little safe. I don't have time to always be squirreling around with proxies being blocked, I have a dozen servers and loads of scripts and automated things running etc.. so I just keep it very safe.

The detailed harvester is 1 thread, no matter what, you can't increase it.

Once upon a day scrapebox did allow captcha solving for proxies, but after 1 or a few requests it got blocked again. So you wind up spending mountain loads of time solving proxies and then eventually it gets blocked faster and so your doing 1 request and then multiple requests (if your using a captcha solving fixed rate service) or 1 request (if your using something like decaptcher). So you cut your speed in half or slower, plus if your using human captcha solving your costs will rocket.

There are other reasons, but overall it caused and cost a lot more problems and money then it solved.

yes they really did a lot of work and took all the work out of it for us.

I will tell you up front if you start doing deep runs to take it slow, up the delay and/or add a lot of proxies. Yellow pages blocks fast. If your doing short runs its not generaly a big deal, but just wanted you to know what your looking at if you load up a ton of locations and part way thru it stops returning data, its because the ips are blocked.

Your welcome!

Yes its expensive, you can simply add a delay though. I actually have 50 proxies on 1 setup and use an 11 second delay with the 50 proxies.

Dont' forget though, google is not the only engine, in fact I scrape a lot from other engines.

click the drop down and you can choose user cities and then click the E and edit it and load in your list of cities.

The counter works for me. Does it always do this?

The scraping counter worked for me during the first run -- I wanted to test scrape only max 200 results, and at the default settings. I remember that the counter worked. But then onward, the counter stopped...

I didn't noticed that it had stopped moving forward from 0 that time, but after reading about the problem a few posts above,I remembered that somehow I did noticed that the counter was on 0. Once during those 7-8 test runs, I thought that the counter and also the entire program was stopped because may be it was banned by YP, So I pressed the Stop button, and in a short while, the window showed the normal scraped results (had retrieved about 30 results when I stopped the scrapping, I think).

Another bug which I didn't send to the SB team, was twice triggered then: the bug error message popped up when I had selected the User Locations option and pressed the "E" button... please see the video to understand when the bug report popup comes up.

I created this video to show that the bug report popup activates every time such an action is made by the user of this GUI. (In a GUI environment, the user can perform "any" action in the app's GUI, and the reaction to it could be termination of the application if there is no proper debug done to handle the crash". Now we know what crashes YPS, we (your coders actually :))can avoid the crash.

I know that the last step, just before the popup is activated, is unnecessary, but being a GUI, this bug can be turned into activating a messageBox saying something like: "This is not a valid action for the USE LOCATIONS option. Please change the User Locations option before using this action." or something similar. IMO, such a small error by user shouldn't close the YPS abruptly/abnormally...

Awesome, thank you loopline.

Btw I seem to be picking up more expired domains by using the broken link checker addon, exporting all links, then importing to Scrapebox and using Check Unregistered Domains, than I am with the Expired Domain Finder plugin. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'm getting the Expired Domain Finder to load URLs from Scrapebox, so it's working with the same list as when I do it the other way.

I just updated and it looks like they already sorted this error, they simply disallowed you to select an entry from the dropbox when user locations or use all is selected.

Yellow Pages Scraper error:

Here is a video that shows the "Records Scrapped" counter is not working (until the scrapping is stopped):

I don't see a problem here. You have retries set and its started 1 thread attempting to scrape results. Its trying and trying and while its trying you push stop. When you "stop" that just says "don't process any more threads after the current one finishes" It doesn't "abort" the current thread. So the current thread finishes its retries/timeouts etc.. and during that process its able to process 1 page of results.

There are 30 results per page, on most YP pages, assuming there is at least 30 available, so it brings back the 1 page of results, displays them in the box up top and then updates the total records scraped from 0 to 30. Had you left it alone long enough it would have done this while it was still running, but you hit stop before it has a chance to complete the thread.

This is all normal behavior. If the results count stayed 0 and never changed to 30 after the results were loaded in the top box, then there would actually be an issue. But I see no issue.

Awesome, thank you loopline.

No, that should not be, not to mention its theoretically using the same function to check for available domains and the broken checker checks broken and the expired checked broken so no that should not be the case.

Perhaps your settings or proxies are not correct in the expired finder.

If you can find some urls that have expired domains on them, that you load into the expired finder and the expired domains do not show up, but if you use the broken checker and then the domain availablity checker - and then they do show up. If you can send those urls to support so that they can try and replicate it, then they could address a issue, if there is one.

Its possible of course that due to some formatting 1 tool is picking them up and the other isnt, but in general Id guess that its a expired domain finder setup that is the culprit.

You could try the expired finder with and without proxies, as a test and see if maybe its your proxies, or make the connections lower and timeouts higher etc.. but test both against urls you know have expired domains and that will give you a baseline.

I believe I accidentally typed something into the filter box. I'm getting way more results with it now... Scraping with proxies off, quite a few threads because I'm crawling a large number of sites rather than crawling one domain deeply.

Might buy this tomorrow. One question though, how deep is the CAPTCHA support?

Is Scrapebox dead?

I bought my copy of Scrapebox sometime in 2011.

Last May 31 I downloaded the latest update I think (http://www.scrapebox.com/v2-update). I tried to transfer my Scrapebox license (which I haven't been using since 2011) to my new computer.

No dice.

I emailed [email protected] twice June 1 and 2. No reply.

What's up with scrapebox?

That makes sense. Typically after level 4-6 on most sites, you have the whole site. Unless its a BIG site.

Might buy this tomorrow. One question though, how deep is the CAPTCHA support?

What do you mean by "how deep" is the captcha support?

Posting links supports captcahs - but it doesn't solve them. You need a service or a program to actually solve the captcha. But I don't really understand your question, it could mean multiple things.

Is Scrapebox dead?

What's up with scrapebox?

Its as alive as it has been for the past 6 years, being worked on every single day. They still activate licenses within 12 hours 365 days per year. In the past year they actually rebuilt Scrapebox with over 1.1 million lines of code. Thats pretty not dead.

Support always responds in 24 hours or less. Check your spam box and make sure you whitelist @scrapebox.com

The latest version is here:
http://www.scrapebox.com/payment-received

Try to download that and unzip it to a folder on your desktop or a folder in your documents folder.

Then run it, click activate and enter your info.

What is your problem exactly? Did you fail to back up your license info and you don't know what it is or your getting an error box or?

All you need is your

name (I hope you know this hehe)
Your payment email address - it would have been the paypal primary mail or if you used a credit card the mail you entered at checkout
your transaction ID (if you paid via paypal account) or your receipt id if you paid via credit card

Just go back to the time you purchased it and check your mails and paypal would have mailed you a receipt and whatever mail account you have the receipt on is also your license mail

Or you can look it up or contact paypal. A lot of people have trouble looking up transactions older then a couple years though, mine goes back years and years though, I can see 2010 stuff and I think 2009.

You would have sent the money to either

[email protected]

or

[email protected]

Probably by 2011 they had switched it to [email protected]

Is it possible to get scrapebox to notify me when scraping that it has encountered a captcha so I can then manually or with some service solve it?
