How long does it usually take to rank a fresh domain?

I've started an affiliate website a couple of weeks ago on a fresh domain. I've set a goal to rank it within shortest time possible. I ordered the content from BHW marketplace and waiting for it to get delivered. Meanwhile I came to know that fresh domains take a lot of time to get ranked when compared to expired ones. Now, should I discard this website and get an expired one or continue with it? The fresh domain is a PMD and my link building strategy includes PBN. What do you guys suggest?

With churn and burn or with a massive links given withing one/two days it may take 2/4 weeks to see the results. For whitehat SEO don't expect to see good results in less than two months or even more months.

When it comes to PBN is almost the same as churn and burn, but is more safe and recommended. If that website has good amount of backlinks and is popular you'll see results withing 3-4 weeks.

Dont expect miracles in a short period. Keep fresh content and gather authority backlinks and social mentions, you should start seeing results from 6-8 weeks onwards.

It depends on your targeted Keyword.
I think with PBN and quality of backlink will take at least one month to get rank.
Get some quality backlinks from authority sites too.
Share your site on social networks and it helps your site to get rank.

Keep the new site as it is.
Buy an expired domain and redirect it through 301 because expired domains has some good metrics already. This kind of method may be helps in ranking in some way. even you can go ahead with new domain, hope you know getting rank in short time is not that easy so just keep update quality content and keep getting quality back links to your domain whether it is new or expired domain.one more think is social media , you can create a page and you can promote your site there.

yes,it takes time to get ranking in the site,and almost it based on the best domain name and quality keyword you have choosen.
Better choose a older domain to rank higher because the older domain has certain metrices because they have build some links already to rank ,you should only modify the content related to your niche.
And create more back links to that domain which helps to rank higher.

6 months is the magic number for me, provided that you put in the necessary SEO work.

It completely depends on your site and the competition. Build your site with long tail keywords, continue to build great content, and then over a certain period of time, once you have established a certain trust and domain authority, you could start ranking for a better keywords.

Whether the domain is new or expired we need to keep building back links and need to update the quality content on it , another thing is KW, if you have low competition keyword, it is bit easy to rank like 2 to 3 months and when you are having your KW on your domain that is even more easy for ranking.
and it is very important to check spam links Before buying expired domain because that may affect in ranking.

Never tried it before. Now I'll get an authority expired domain of same niche and 301 redirect it to my new site. Hope it transfers authority and helps in ranking faster. Thanks for the helpful reply.

It takes time to rank a new domain - Although I have used expired domain to rank for difficult niche(s), I somehow prefer fresh domain names, that has never been used. At least I know where my problem is coming from.

If I were you, I would get a couple of expired domains, build it, and then 301 it to the money site.

If expired domain is working for you, why do you prefer fresh domain? I assume you use fresh ones to build authority sites.

@Fakkard I have used Old domain to build authority site in a very difficult niche and I have also use a fresh domain to rank in a difficult niche and both took almost the same time to rank.
Why I prefer fresh (never used before) domain is because I want to be sure there is no hidden penalty surrounding the domain - My hat off to those who can find fresh good old domains -

That is just the reason why I prefer new domain, but anytime I can find old good brandable domain name, I will opt for it instead of using a fresh one.
Am hoping one day, I will be able to buy Skyrocket DA60+ domain that has the potential to rank for any keyword with minimal link building.
