What's so good about it being aged? Because the engagement is horrible, I see accounts with 10k followed getting 1.5k likes a pic

Do you like your account / niche? Maybe the less engaged followers would drop off OR, even better, enjoy your new content + you can start attracting new people. That said, never had that issue and have little experience in IG.

Would also advise against deleting your account. You can always change the username if you decide to pivot the theme of the account. Having that many followers gives you a very big head start on growing the next audience base.

It depends on the niche.

I can guarantee that there are niches where getting so little likes at such an ammount of followers is pretty normal.
