Some agencies are paying for when someone watches a full video but for incentive, the length of the videos tend to be 1:00+ and the payout is often very low. That doesn't produce a good experience or strong earnings for affiliates and has the opposite effect. I do think the suggestion of milestones is a good one but, again, it comes down to whether or not ad agencies would be on side.

Forgot to ask what I came on to ask yesterday.

Ok, I think its a good idea to look into. Any advertiser not recognizing video ads is behind the times. Youtube is all video ads and over half the apps out there have video ads included. I'm not familiar with how youtube pays out but if advertisers need the full video viewed I would suggest going with 30 seconds or less. It would just be a good option to have but if you're saying they don't pay much for incentive I can understand that. Hopefully this is an area that changes.

I agree entirely. We've tested it in the past and actively keep an eye on things because we feel the same way. We won't push this feature until the CPA/ROI is right for affiliates but I certainly do agree that this is an area of opportunity for advertisers. I think Youtube ads and every commercial out there is a soft incentive anyhow. You exchange your time watching an ad for access to a video. That's incentive. We're on the same page :)

Cheers,
Peter

Thanks Jag and no problem. Recommendations and requests are always taken very seriously. We can't have the best platform for affiliates unless we're listening to affiliates :)

Even if we encrypted, it would open up an XSS vulnerability when performing the handshake with Facebook. Then, having all of those logins coming from CPAlead could trigger some issues. If you think of anything else, please let me know.

Thanks,
Peter

Ok. Good reasons not to. Another suggestion would then maybe be a "wanted" section in the marketplace where users could tell people what they want. Id be putting this tool in there if I could.

We want your feedback and requests on everything or anything we can do to be even better. In specific, is anyone looking for

- Specific offers? (Any country, just let us know the offer, where you've seen it and the payout)
- Features? Is there anything on the platform you'd like changed, created or improved?

CPAlead is only a great network if we're doing what you want us to be doing so your feedback is key.

Thanks,
Peter

Hello,

I plan on beginning a CPALead journey as others have inspired me to do so. Yet, I haven't been able to bring that plan to fruition just yet as I remain uncertain as to what specific promotional method I would like to target. I have a few that works but prefer a narrow focus for a journey thread. Is there, perhaps, a guide that provides more insight on how to generate revenue from publishing on Facebook? Strangely enough, I feel a tad more confident in being able to generate revenue by purchasing traffic from Facebook than I do in I do in being able to drive organic traffic to monetize my promotions.

Are you seeing more affiliates engage in PPC on Facebook these days? I realize that there is an on-going thread with someone who is doing quite well otherwise but it seems that a large amount of individuals who are earning a great deal with CPALead are all purchasing traffic.

I would appreciate your opinion Peter of CPALead.

Many Thanks

Seeing CPALEAD back on this forum reminds me of the neo script days. Making $3000 a day when it was so easy!

Signed up recently to check them out and have some first impressions.

On the plus side:
Nice interface. That's about it.

On the minus side:
I don't see any offers other than a handful of lame-o email/zip submits that pay out pennies to a dollar and probably shave the fckk out of traffic, making running them very counter-productive. Maybe it's one of those networks that makes you ask them to enable the good stuff, like it's some kind of privilege to have access to decent offers.

Compared to something like ClickBooth, which is one of the networks I currently work with, I can log in and - by default - have access to numerous quality offers. Put them in and run them using the type of promotional method I prefer. Even when I first signed up with cb I had access to their top-performing offers and it wasn't zip/email submits.

The other notable problem is that the affiliate links are full of redirects...ONE redirect is ok for tracking clicks and cookies, but their pinball redirect setup basically excludes anyone from using something like adwords to promote offers. There's no need to be bouncing clicks 4-5+ times and finally spitting them out on some scam-looking site with obscure domain name like "3h0s.co".

Landing pages should have their own domain name that is related to the offer. I'm not going to run any offer that isn't straight up what it claims to be in the ad with a clean domain name. Following the affiliate link on their #1 "pack of oreos" offer results in me ending up on some completely unrelated survey page (with no oreo pics on the lander or mentions of oreos in the domain name)...so they want us to promote cookies but then serve up some survey? Wrong order. Cookies first!

Summary: Didn't see any worthwhile offers in my list (could just be that they're not enabled for my account); wouldn't run the offers that were available due to issues mentioned above. Maybe someone else will have better luck...but if you're trying to get new affiliates to promote stuff on your network, you should have some better stuff ready to go.

I am running the pack of oreos offer and up until an hour ago I had no issues with redirecting? Quite odd. I do believe that there is a $20 amount one must generate before being granted full permissions but I believe the OP can speak to this more accurately.

Interesting thoughts; I don't think CPALead is quite in the same bracket as ClickBooth or ClickBank as they are very different businesses based upon rather different models. Yet, I do believe you touch on something interesting and perhaps CPALead could pivot and become somewhat of ClickBank type business with a few changes to their marketplace and inventory. With that said, I am of the understanding that CPALead's no incentive offers are more along the lines of the ClickBooth's and Banks of the industry. That would provide you with an apples to apples analysis as it were. I cannot, however, comment on the no incentive inventory with CPALead though.

More to the reason for my follow up, @OP, could you please weigh in on my recent post when given an opportunity? I want to seize the moment, as it were, so that I can take a step forward and begin my own journey experiment.

Kindly,
NM

Very cool! $3,000 a day, even by today's standards, is very good. Hopefully we made you rich :)

Hey Exxtra,

Its not my intention to undermine your entire post but you were comparing two completely different business types. One being non-incentive and the other incentive. The offer inventory is very different as a result of the model. So its difficult to draw conclusions when being compared to a completely different line. In the same way that we can't really draw comparisons with AdSense. Different models. There are advantages to each. While, yes, you can run some different inventory with Clickbooth, you are also restricted in terms of your promotional methods and can't use incentives. We run an incentive model. You're comparing two very different things here and the model dictates the inventory that is allowed.

Also, I'm not seeing the re-direct for the OREO campaign? I've tested it as well a few times. May have been an isolated incident but please let me know if you see it again and I'll take a look.

We do, however, have some non-incentive inventory and we take requests as well on that front. Those campaigns are very different but are also restricted to non-incentive methods.

Hi Nightmarez,

Thanks for the question. Quite honestly, they're very similar approaches but it depends on where your strengths lie and how you would like to manage your promotion. If you're comfortable with making frequent updates and managing a page, or multiple pages, then driving traffic to your page and building up a fan base to monetize is a good path to go down. If that's not something you see yourself doing or wanting to do, then avoid it. The last thing you want to do is start building a fan page then abandon it as you'll have wasted time, money and effort. If you're more inclined to enjoy focusing on a smart campaign, figuring out costs then running a PPC campaign, then that's the way to go for you.

Two different paths. One is more of an arbitrage type of approach where you get to have some control in that you choose the campaign and can set incentives in place. The other is more of a long term approach.

I would say that there was about a 65/35 split in terms of people buying traffic but that has been shifting rapidly towards building pages given the release of our recent social media tools and is now more like 55/45. Again though, its determining what method you want to work with.

In terms of the specific niche, that's for you to decide of course but there are a lot of great options.

Does that help?

Peter

Scared to ask a noob question, however i was taught that the dumbest question is the question thats never asked.

How much do you guys usualy pay for link locked traffic from:

Please don't ever hesitate to ask questions because you think they are basic or newb questions. Questions are good.

I would categorize as first tier payouts vs second or third but it really varies.

For example, in the USA you'll find surveys more than anything and we pay over $2.00 on many surveys. However, if you compare that to France, which is also a tier 1 country, the payouts change dramatically and we have paid near $40 in recent times on a per lead basis with many of our campaigns currently paying in the $25 range. So its very difficult to compare. This is because they are different types of ads. In Europe, there are a lot of PIN submits whereas the USA / North America is more focused on surveys and apps for mobile.

My best suggestion is to login and look at the payouts for yourself then determine what makes sense. Payouts are not the most important thing there is either. A high paying offer that doesn't convert is no good whereas a lower pay with higher conversion will make you better money.

Finally, we've never, not once, missed a payout to anyone who was owed :) We even offered a $500 reward in a public article if anyone could show we didn't pay what was owed. Only fraud issues can derail payment (or if someone doesn't input their payment info).

Thanks!

Hi Scariot,

That's a lot of money, great job $57k earned with CPAlead in two years is good!

There's not much we can do when you face issues with your promotions. Sometimes Google makes an update and people lose their rankings, other times Facebook makes a change which hurts apps. Its unfortunate but on our end we try to provide as many options and solutions as possible so you can quickly build back up and do something different to help you out :) Sounds like after those changes something got marked on your account with twitter which may have stopped it. A lot of twitter traffic tends to be SPAM unfortunately and unless verified as not being SPAM, many networks block it out.

Cheers!
Peter

Hi there,

I've never really ventured into CPA (and I don't know if I will or not in the near future), but I just watched your videos and you guys seem to be a good company. I just have one question for you. I know that with CPA networks there's always a chance that the groups which you are generating leads for (i.e., the people who collect the survey data, own the apps that are downloaded etc) can sometimes be less than trustworthy. Worse than that, sometimes the apps that you send traffic to can contain malware of one sort or another. My question then is, what kind of vetting/screening does CPALead do in regard to choosing the organizations that it generates leads for?

I hope I worded my question clearly.
