AMA: Making Passive Income on Instagram

Thanks for the AMA.

Question:

Are you in charge of the content of the account? Or just the growing part? Are the business owners in charge of the upload of content?
do you do upsale / downsale offers?

Lets says:

I offer to the client the $100 monthly plan, but I can give you an XXX plus service for $200 a month?

Wouldn't be better to attach your clients with a 6 months/1 year agreement?

ALWAYS UPSELL!

1. Take photos for them on your iphone. Use and HDR filter and make them look extra saturated. Usually charge $300-$500 to gather about 60 photos.

2. Upsell you will do the posting of images for them. (Post one photo per day) Boostgram allows you to schedule posts so upload your 60 photos schedule one per day and your done. Sell this for $500 - $1000 per month

3. Upsell posting to twitter for another $250 per month and use IFTTT.com to post the instagram photos as native twitter photos.

4. Logo Design $1000 - Go on 99designs and put a budget of $400 to get a logo done for tem.

5. Webste Design. $1500-$2500 and use squarespace to build them a website

Love this thread. Im actually doing a version of this right now and have had good luck. I mainly focus on driving conversions and sales rather than follower growth. Have your customers been asking where their dollars are going where the ROI is?

Thanks for sharing,

Actually I'm also offering Instagram Managing Services to some local brands, doing FL and targeting their competitors followers, charging 250?/month, and I have a couple of clients.

The only issue, we have to be carefull with not doing too much, I set to maximum 500 to 700 likes a day

cheers

Doing this as a follow up to a previous post I did that I feel could be helpful to you all.

Purchase an Instagram Automation Tool: FollowLiker, Instagress, or Boostgram.

I cold call small businesses and tell them I can improve their local customer reach and create awareness in their region. Usually I feel them out on how much their customers spend and price it accordingly.

I charge my clients anywhere from $250-$1000 to run automation on their account for them. "Managed service" is what I call it. I never tell them the name of the software I use, just that I have technology that will get them 2000-4000 new followers per month.

If you set it to auto like hashtags of city names within a ten mile radius of the business they will see an increase in walk in customers and local awareness of their company.

I have 8 paying clients and make about $5000 per month off them. I pay $49 a month for Boostgram at their volume pricing just because I find they have the least re-auths and gender selection function however if you are doing this in bulk Follow Liker is a better solution for managing in bulk.

Ask me anything.

Yep, I only do likes for my clients too, not follow/unfollow... And it works))

I do only 1 likes per pic/user, how did you set it? i found it better that way but wanted to hear your opinion too

I have actually found that following is too invasive for most customers. The liking seems to bring in more walk in customers and generate more localized awareness

Wow, love the idea. Especially your ways of upselling them. Currently working on a different instagram project, but will definitely have to try this idea out soon.

Question: Is it too invasive to ask what your landing page is? Interested in seeing how that looks

This tool is super cool, definitely going to look into it more. Are you contacting each of your search results one by one?

Heres a link that will help you track down business owners on facebook in you area.

This is pretty cool. How are you contacting your search results? Im assuming your using the multiple variables option just search for your location and owner.

Let me get it straight please, you make around $5000 from 8 clients? Which means you ask almost $625 per client. But how is that possible. How could you convince them that they will get this much value from Instagram.

Honestly speaking I am doing this as well. Currently I have 12 customers - I had over 50 customers in the last one year. I do exactly like you do. what I offer is 60-70 dolars per customer per month. This is not something very new in my city. And I don't offer the cheapest service.

You must be the god of convincing :) Paying $1000 is insane I think.

Branding. I do this myself and know a couple of people who make thousands more than me per month. When you build a name up for yourself and set yourself up as an authority, you can charge whatever you want.

Great thread. Thanks for your advice. Can you give some advice on the settings you use for boostgram, to not get banned?

EDIT: Just found a reddit thread accidently by googling 'boostgram banned' which is promoting exactly the same business model and suggests boostgram (sorry can't post links)... Did you start that thread as well? It does all seem a lot like boostgram advertising, you have to admit.

This is why I use boostgram and not follow liker. To each his own though.

Boostgram targets likes 3-5 photos on each persons account to grab their attention.

My landing page is pertty simple. Enter your email now to learn how to build you companies instagram. Also have a call rail phone number on the page they can call.

Call rail is a trackable phone number so I know which landing page it came in on.

What types of businesses do you contact ? How do you find them ?

Great post. If you had to email a yoga place, what would the basic pitch look like that avoids looking like spam? do you have an example of one of your landing pages?

I went over this earlier in the post however heres a basic run down:

Simple email to company owner or who ever is in charge. "Do you use instagram for your business?"

I found the more simple you make it the easier it is to get them talking to you.
