Anyone have any ideas on where to change the settings for timeouts for the addon Broken Links Checker? I tried these for settings but still getting it.




I am using only 5 threads in the addon settings. I've also tried private, public, and no proxies.

Getting timeout? There's no timeout Status in Broken Link Checker addon. After increase Global Connection Timeout to 15 seconds, more urls be checked. So assume if were adjustable, should adjust here. Or maybe there's other reasons.

I got similar result. In order to scrape more stuff, 1. have to prepare an extremely big volume of proxies suit for the big/monster G. I subscribed a list cost 100$/year, 2000~1000 passed proxies every half~several hours. Set connections 200~500. Now it's said one connection need 20 proxies; 2. Dedicated proxy. Don't trigger sth, and can scraping unstopped. Or detailed harvester, there's very detailed instruction how to "detailed" harvesting.

The broken links checker has a hard coded timeout, if things are timing out then it means that you probably have too many connections running, so just turn down the number of connections and that should solve the problem.

You can try turning down the number of connections for proxy harvest, try cutting it down to 25% of whatever you are using now. So if you are using 100 connections now try 25, do you get the same result? The timeout is either that that

the proxies are bad

something is blocking connections like your firewall etc.. (make sure you white list scrapebox in all security software)

Your running too many connections for your bandwidth, DNS, router etc... and they are timing out.

but the download link is mailed to the payment email address, if you didn't get it you should check your spam folder and whitelist @scrapebox.com lest you miss future important mails from them.

Also you want to use that same paypal primary email address (which is what paypal sends the money from) or the mail you entered if you paid with a credit card - use this for activation after you download and unzip it to a folder on your desktop or in your documents folder.

Well I qualify on the experience part, but I don't use skype as its sucks away too much time. IF you post here we are happy to help. I also have a video playlist that can help get you started. Aside from the 100+ videos I have though, please be specific if you ask questions, starting with telling us what it is your trying to accomplish because you can do literally tens of thousands of applications with scrapebox.

Can you elaborate more please, your statement of your issue isnt detailed enough to provide accurate help.

If your saying your proxies are passing the google test but don't work then its because there are different kinds/levels of ip bans and the proxy tester only tests for basic keyword searches. So they can work for that and be blocked for other queries/services of google.

Anyway, if you can explain your issue in more detail that would be helpful.

also note that you can build a custom test for the type of query your using and use that in the proxy tester for more accurate results on what is google passed.

Can it scrape the number of results given for a list of keywords in a search? (but in the youtube searches!)
Its not the url/video/data scrape from pages that i want, its the number of total search results.

The google competition finder does this so you could do

site:youtube.com keyword

and that would work, or you should be able to use the custom data grabber to build a module that gives you the count for the search you want on youtube.com
You would just need to generate the urls for the youtube searches that you wanted, but you could use the keyword merge option to help with this.

I did a couple of quick tests and google.com with the site operator seems to return a bit higher count of results then does youtube.com Not sure what else its including, but you could test and see if it would work for your purposes.
