Hi there,
I am a newbie and intending to buy Scrapebox.But before that I would like to know if I could do something with the tool.
Basically,I would like to scrape contact email address of all the chinese restaurants in the UK from Google local or Tripadvisor or Yelp UK?.Is that possible?.I do not have any knowledge of using proxies either.
Please advice me.Many thanks

When scraping from Tripadvisor restaurants data, if the request can be build and sent, the filtered individual restaurants' urls are in the response content.Hi there,

And I think people usually call the restaurant for a booking instead of email them.
If it's not easy to get the detailed urls, have to use a browser-based software to scrape them (first).

I don't know if they will or not but there are loads of other public proxy list sellers out there. I think the point of server proxies is just to be a free extra that can get people started.

You can scrape from google, but not from google maps. So you could set it to get the first X results from google for each term and location. You could also just use the yellow pages scraper to scrape yell.com
as for yelp I looked at several and didn't see any email addresses. Can you post some links to ones that you want that have mails?
As for trip advisor strictly speaking you can scrape the mails from the page, and the link extractor picks up links from the page and you can probably build a custom harvester engine for it.
So yes it seems like you can, but bear in mind this will take some work on your part, its not going to be push button simple, except for if you use yell and use the yellow pages scraper.
That depends on you, you can scrape the data and resell it, you can scrape the phone numbers and call places to sell them stuff you can scrape mails and mail places (if thats legal for you) you can scrape them as competitor data, you can do all sorts of things. But its your job to figure out how to monetize something, be clever.

I already have purchase your software one year ago but from, about... 5-6 months I can't scarpe and so, extract link and website from all yell portals because have some "errors". Do you know that? It's normal?
Now, I have see that you realease a new plugin that is yellow page scraper, and so, this is what I need to scrape website from all yell's portal (including Italian yellowpage?) ?

I can't say if the error is normal or not, as you didn't give enough information about that.
But yes the yellow pages scraper is custom built to scrape yellow pages and yell etc.. It gives you a lot of data aggregated nicely vs trying to compile it all your self.
I know there is no trial of it, its $37, however you can get it plus the automator, article scraper and rank tracker plugin on promo for $49 with the Christmas promo

I just bought scrape box and the plugin bundle.The yellow pages scraper does not seem to be working properly.During the scrape,when I press the stop button,it just freezes and does not allow me to filter or export the results.There seems to be a bug.I have tried it a few times but still the same result.Could you please tell me what the issue could be?..

1 or more threads are locked. This could be an anti-virus, malware checker, firewall or any other security software/hardware or some 3rd party program or other things.
Make sure you whitelist the plugin in all security software and then also try closing down any other unneeded programs. skype, utorrent etc...
There is nothing wrong with the plugin, and its working fine on all my machines, the issue is local to your machine and something is acting upon the scrapebox yp scrapers threads and locking 1 or more of them. Which will force it to wait till it finishes and basically it will set there forever and do nothing because it can't.

Access violations need more data to figure out whats going on. You need to go into your main Scrapebox folder and then there is a bugreport.txt file. You can email that file to support at
support (at] scrapebox [dot) com
In the proxies and settings tab is where you load the proxies and then choose the use proxies when available option and place a check mark in the box. then post and they will be used.
You could post them here, especially if you want discussion about them, else you can mail them to support
