Ask me anything about dropshipping on ebay

Well undercutting competitors with lower price will definitely cause more sales, because you will be the lower price seller, but i think in some point it doesn't matter, 90% of things i have sold, i was 2-3$ ahead from lowest price on eBay, with my low experience, i can't clearly explain this but things happen they bought from me the items that are higher price than other sellers offer on Ebay, so it's not the main idea to sell with lower price after all.

No it shouldn't be the main idea but you should have around 10 items that are listed lower depending on your limits. Usually the item sells on lowest price and obviously feedback is taken into account by buyers. Make your titles look more attractive bring the buyer in. I am also new but how i started off was by lowering my prices.
Make sure you add in an express postage option this not only brought me more customers it also labels you as a ebay premium seller along with a mininum of 14 days return which = more customers

Hi, I know this is not about dropshipping but I'm having issues selling on ebay. The problem is I can only list maximum of 2 items per category. How can I lift this limit ? do I have to wait a specific time for it to be lifted ?

When looking for a new potential product to sell on ebay, are u looking at the competition ? I find plenty of products, which are more expensive on ebay than on amazon, only problem is, there are already tons of people seeling that product with tons of positive reviews.

I'm mainly checking to make sure that the product isn't being listed by accounts like this guys

What's your overall account selling limits + what have you already listed?

Euphorix, can you tell me a reason why you avoiding to list something like this guy does? I see he is very good seller with very big ammount of sales, but i still don't understand buyers might still buy from me

What do you guys do about Ebay and Paypal fees? Dont they take like 10% - 20% off your sale? Do you just include that margin into the price? Thats quite a big margin.

Yes, eBay start off charging 10% of the final value of the sale of your item. PayPal starts at 3.4% (in the UK).

You need to calculate your prices with this in mind. Also, depending on how your have you eBay account set up you may need to pay to list items.

I am doing amazon to ebay arbitrage since about six months. Everything was going fairly smoothly until sale volumes got higher. Sames address, credit card, etc for multiple accounts, no problem. When I placed about 35 orders in a row I received an ip ban. I was able to create new accounts after a router reset and different browser but Problems started from then on. Now my account got banned again (no ip ban) but my other, long term buying account (2002) is still up even though it can definitely be linked. I even used that Account with the same IP address that got banned.

My Problem is that I need new, multiple (2-3), amazon buyer accounts (that can not be linked) every month, to get the 1 months free prime offer. I would happily pay for Prime Membership but since my accounts will probably eventually get closed because of Prime-TOS violation it doesn't make sense. Not using Prime and just selling items over 30$ to get free shipping is not a solution.

However, I cant get new PC, credit card, router, address etc. every month. Also I think the actual reason for getting my account banned is ordering multiple items with a free Prime-Trial every day to different shipping addresses, even though it didn't seem to be a problem in the beginning.
So setting up a stealth account is probably not going to be much help.

Does anyone know a way around this? It must be possible. I am not the only one doing amazon to ebay DS in my country (using Prime)

Someone mentioned not to use the ?send as a gift? option. Is that really the solution? Wouldn't amazon red-flag multiple prime orders with different shipping addresses, regardless of the ?send as a gift option?? And are you sure there is no price on the invoice when not sending as a gift?

Also I tried warming up the account and made only 2 orders, and 3 days later another 4 or 5. That was too many already.

Any Insights into this issue are greatly appreciated!

they most likely banned you because you were creating multiple prime accounts with the same info. you can place dozens of orders a day without getting banned otherwise

now they've blacklisted all your unique information including your name, address, CC info, phone, email, and computer info, so you can't use any of those again. the way around it is to create stealth accounts with prepaid cards and use amazon gift cards for orders

Check it out, looks like Amazon has something called purchase limits that are separate from quantity limits.

Hm sounds bad. How do the big dropshippers handle this? I cant imagine they are creating hundreds of new accounts every month with unique information including CCs. Also this will create tax problems?
Someone wrote that he was getting a warning from amazon because order volumes got too high. That sounded like he is using a long term Prime account with paid membership.

Would DS domination or some other site be able to help me with this problem? I am willing to pay big for some peace of mind

Thanks for the link snakeyes, interesting read. I actually did have an issue with a product with a buying limit of 10

Yeah, Amazon UK are using cheap ass couriers now where tracking is nigh impossible!

Muffslayer; do you get rid of non performing listings?

@Muffslayer Would you mind telling me about the limitations of your repricer please? Why can it only do 50k in 24 hours? How often does it check each listing? What interface does it use with eBay? 5000 per day, or 1,500,000 per day or File Exchange?

The reason I ask is I am currently developing my own repricer. Thanks for any guidance.

It's been approved so I get over a million api calls a day. I paid the developer to approve it, I can't remember what he said exactly, but he submitted it and said something along the lines of a program to change prices and stock in the shop. But his english was really bad and it still got approved, so it's quite easy I think.

The limitation is the php file. The php file takes around 20 minutes to do 780 changes. So I run it 3 times an hour, i.e. 2,340 an hour or 56,160 every 24h.

You can't run multiple php files at once, because it checks the database to see if it's a 1 or a 0, and because they are not fast enough to change it to a 1 or a 0, they all end up doing the same product before the 0 or 1 changes to say one php file has already looked at it.

If I get my limits raised as planned (4 months time), and Amazon doesn't screw me over somehow on fulfilling my orders. Then I will look into solutions of doing more than 50,000 items in my repricer when I get there.

Ah ok, thanks for that. I did see online somewhere that it's quite easy. I'd advise going down the File Exchange route later if you need to scale higher, it's designed for that the API is not.

Also, you really need to ditch PHP. Don't let somebody convince you to use that again, under no circumstances (friendly tip).

My repricer is written in go which is a really fast language. If you ever want to talk specifics just PM me and we can catch each other on Skype.

You do know the file exchange has a limit of 5,000 a day. Or if you request higher, 50,000 changes a day. Not sure how much higher you can go on this though.

I was actually using the file exchange before my repricer. I liked the file exchange, it's super fast. It's something I will definitely consider in the future. First I'd have to find out how high the file exchange limits can go though.
