I'm just starting out, so please bear with me. Also my apologies if this is not the right place to post this.

So here are my questions:

1. How many anonymous and/or google tested public proxies from scrapebox sources will it take for me to mass comment efficiently and on how many urls? I can't afford private proxies right now.

2. How long do the scrapebox sources usually last? I ask because last night I scraped about 80,000 non-duplicated urls and started mass commenting on them using about 750 anonymous proxies (some of them google verified) scraped from the scrapebox sources; I managed to post on 1500 or so urls, although I can't seem to find any proof of them (URL's weren't scraped from Google). If I am using proxies I scraped several hours ago to mass comment, how many of those proxies become bunk?

3. If I scrape from other public proxy sources, how long do those last?

4. What is the best configuration for a slow system. I am operating out of a crappy nextbook tablet with windows 8.1 and 1GB RAM, and running on moderate Internet speed (don't know exact specs, will look into it)

Being google tested is not necessary for posting, only for harvesting google. But public proxies are going to give you terrible success rates. 1 or 5 private proxies off of fiverr even would be better.

Proxies can die by the time you are done testing them, it just depends. But after a few hours a good deal of them are dead.
Try the default connections in scrapebox, they are pretty conservative, and if they don't work then you can lower connections and increase timeouts. I never used a machine that is that ummm unpowerful for any kind of production, so I can't really give you specifics.

It doesnt' matter if you scrape public proxies from scrapebox or other sources, public proxies just die fast.

Commenting is based on the platforms scrapebox supports, so you can look at the platform list and then look at the recent social media posts and if the posts are on a platform Scrapebox supports then it works, else the answer is no. You didn't give specific examples, but I would venture to guess the overall answer here is probably no as scrapebox doesn't really support any social media platforms, but it depends on what you define as social media.

Nevermind just read the rest of your post and realized you said you had accounts and so the answer is no. Scrapebox does not support authentication, aka it will not log into accounts to do anything.

Sure (assuming the formatting is consistent and its not content produced by javascript etc...) You can use the custom data grabber. Here is a video

This might be a noob question, but in Scrapebox 2 can you login to the website first and then do the scraping (all the links in harvester from same domain but behind login screen). Just want to confirm with what Loopline said above.

The search engine harvester doesn't support harvesting from sites by entering a username and password. But... i was able to make it harvest from a site behind a login. What i done was login to the site in a browser and with Firefox Live HTTP Headers get the browser cookie from the login and add it to the harvester in Settings >> Harvester Engines Configuration:

Then the harvester was able to scrape URL's from the members only pages. So there's no support for entering a user/pass, but you can make it work.

It sounds like your search engine definitions are quite old. You can update them by going to Settings >> Harvester Engines Configuration >> Import >> Download Default Engines from Server.

Its just the standard email grabber, it can get mails from facebook. In the upper right hand quadrant of Scrapebox go to grab/check and then there are various options.

I tried with "get comments from harvested urls" but youtube platform is not supported. So would it be better to make new module in data grabber or configure new platform in "comment grabber platform configuration?
To make it simple, what i really want is to see the number of comments from the youtube video.
Can yout please tell me how to configure the module to make it work.

Well in the main video page it comes in as an iframe and it doesn't work out. You would need to grab the video ID and generate the below url, which is what you get when you click on the "all comments" link and then in that page you can easily see the comments, for example on a "fishing line how its made" video its 28 comments as you can see with this code:

You can see the ID is aver teh ?v=

and then you can scrape that list of pages with your grabber module.

You can use the built in youtube downloader module in Scrapebox to get the IDs. under grab/check in the upper right hand quadrant of the mail Scrapebox window

I am trying to activate the licence on a different computer. I have requested transfer through the program every day for over a week - no luck.

I have emailed support 5 times - no response.

I have used the online form multiple times - no response, not even a statement that you are not going to do anything.

I have run out of ideas - has support been discontinued?

I own both scrapebox and article scraper but can't seem to find a way to do this.

I have been using custom data grabber, it works but it leave a whole big mess of HTML tag, it requires more effort editing than actually copy pasting myself.

Is that anyway to do this with scrapebox?

At the moment the Article Scraper can only scrape articles from the included article directories, but adding a trainable article scraper might be possible down the track.
