Sounds a bit like the journey I'm currently doing now.

I choose to pay for marketing but I also have people helping me promote my book. I realize it can be done for free but paying for ads speeds up exposure. However, I'm expecting similar results.

People will never get tired of absorbing information, needing services or needing problems solved. These are all evergreen niches and these methods can't be saturated. You just need to find an opening and make connections.

Hi all

How exactly did you promote on the forums? Spamming the crap out of them? Putting the link in your signature? Making a BST thread? Have several ebooks ready to sell right now

Just as explained in my original post, we were active on the forum by engaging in discussions, helping people, answering questions, giving tips, etc. No BST Threads, no spamming. Yes we did put a link in the signature, that's the only "marketing" strategy we used.

You don't need a business account, you can create PayPal buy buttons from a personal account as well.

Correct.
We started the building the forum account (without link in sig) early July. So by the end of July we added the link and then gotten a couple of sales.
And as already written in the original post, we made $247 in August, and currently at $550 for September.

Any kind of medium will work as long as there are people there.
YouTube is great for this, if you're able to make your own video's for your niche.
Facebook could work, but I would rather use Facebook for Ads, rather than "selling" there. Unless you have followers on your account, then you can easily sell your products.

I've said this in a reply above, you can use any kind of medium. If you have followers, then you can make money, end of story

Basically yes. But if the question/problem is relevant to your product, then you can always say something like "see the link in my signature for more info" and things like that. This way you kinda "push" them to visit your site.

Hmmm. I see two methods here. #1, product creation/promotion. #2, find someone with little marketing knowledge, convince them to do all the work, offer "consulting", take a cut of the profit on autopilot.

Exactly, that's the whole point, to make it "blendable", as you say, with other* tactics/methods.
