i downloaded TEAR trial version some days ago and wanted to test with mandrill cause i used their service for some other things allready. but it seems that mandrill is not working with TEAR. i wrote a support mail to TEAR but never get any response so far.

I've used mandrill and a lot of other SMTP's with TEAR should work no problem, just need right configuring that part sometimes takes some trials.

So just made a free mandrillapp account to test SMTP and it works fine:



Here are the steps:

1. Make free account
2. Click blue "Get SMTP Credentials" button
3. Click blue "+ New API Key" button
4. Enter SMTP info info TEAR (ur pw is ur API key)

$200-300 a month could get you a (nice and fast) mass mailing setup.

Here's roughly what I am paying:
Hostgator web hosting + domains: ~$130 + $30 (per domain) / year (privacy protect, name, etc)
SMTP: $70 x (amount) / month
TEAR: $49 / month
VPS: $110 / month (very nice one - aint nobody got time for freezing)

I'm not going super hard atm and have days over $1k every week.
So these costs are tiny.

You can also start much cheaper if you use free email accounts such as google, yahoo, aol, etc.
Just less control and more maintenance. I recommend taking some adderall and trying it all out.

I'm totally new on mass emailing. Just downloaded TEAR today and watched The slug tutorial on youtube.
I've successfully set it up on TEAR, but what I'm missing is emails list, I don't have any and don't have any ideas how to get some except buying email list.

You've mentioned to ask for you methods for getting emails list, so I would be really grateful if you could pm me any of the methods you are willing to share.

Also what does 'Live leads' mean?

I have had all of this setup but have sinced cancelled my TEAR subscription. The key to this and no one gives the advice is getting the emails in the first place. Yes you can scrape emails and back hand your way in by pretending to send an miss directed email. This is illegal and I cant be asked to be chased for can spam etc.

I have tried instagram, kik, twitter and all the accounts have been banned. I have had limited success with craigs list dating but again no sales. These magical live leads, so called people who say "got to twist the method" are selling pipe dreams. If you are going to market your software help people out who shelll out on your product and believe that they can make money with it.

Generating emails does seem to get a lot of attention.

Since there are so many way's I never focused to hard on it in this thread.

There are basically 3 ways that I've done it.

1. Scrape (GSA Email Spider or ScrapeBox work well after some tweaking)
2. Outsource (Pay freelancers that know how to post ads on various sites that make people email ur master POP3) > these are 'Live Leads'
3. RevShare (Could be a mix of the methods above, people provide leads and you convert them)

Your right in a sense that it is not always simple. I've also had many times where my leads costed me more then I was making. But "got to twist the method" is true. And that is with any business you are in.

If it worked the first time everyone would be doing it.

I'm not sure which method u where doing but I'm guessing adult since there are a lot of videos on it. Also I personally don't do social media for traffic but I do know some vets who make lube from them. They are also crazy programmers and have custom software.

Personally I would outsource traffic so u can focus on your campaigns and increasing your margins.

That is the best way to scale.

Try to RevShare to since the risk is your fixed cost.

I know TEAR is good for automatically replying and making it like a "conversation" to the leads but why 20 TEAR apps just wondering about your strategy?

And how hard/easy is it to get an ip blacklisted just wondering? (I don't really plan on getting blacklisted left and right but since in a newbie at this I'm guessing I will until I figure out what I'm doing)

And if a SMTP service like Sendgrid or Amazon SES bans your account is it possible to just sign back up with them right away?

The traffic he manually uses if from hiring classified site posters. This is the method you can twist. I know many people who do.

How do you get email list.

Scraping was how I got started but then moved to live leads since it's much better for inboxing, SMTP accounts, and my VPS rep.
Find your niche, setup campaign, find lead sellers for your niche, purchase leads, rinse and scale.

1. TEAR: Of course not. Just right click on TEAR and run another window. I do this so I have 20 different campaigns and conversations going. In all sorts of niches.
2. Inboxing: It specifically doesn't, my inboxing is already super high. It's mainly cause I have a lot of different JV/s and RevShare campaigns going.
3. IP blacklist: Na it's not when u use an SMTP.
4. SMTP: It is possible, but usually requires a new CC.

No I am not. And in regards to your last post, emailing is not as tricky as many believe but sometimes maintain profitable campaigns needs some maintenance. That's where TEAR is supposed to make things easier. Since it reduces the maintenance and campaign creation time.
