Is there a simple way to filter a list of urls? I would like to remove adult, casino ect from my main list.

as noted by scrapefox you can go that route if you want to filter out urls that have a word in them.

If you want more indepth you can use the page scanner addon and use your wordlist, but bear in mind that if someone has gone to a page about fishing and left a comment about a "casino" and you put "casino" in your filter, it will be matched. So there is no "logic" or anything that applies, it simply looks at words on the page and matches them as matching your filter or not.

Hello, for some reason one day, I started to get an error on the BETA release. The Errors started to happen when
I try to update to 2.0.0.41 I get the following errors when trying to update scrapebox and the addons. This error has
been happeing for some time now, I have whitelisted the software in my AV and firewall and nothing is blocking the requests.

"Unable to donwload update at the moment"

If you mean the competition finder, did you try the latest version for V2?

Well, 3 hours ago i wrote to scrapebox official support with this feature request, 3 hours!! (or it was faster actually?) now its live :)

Best tool ever, @ScrapeboxWorker

I have bought scrapebox few days ago. and I want to purchase all 3 premium plugins. Is there any discount or any link where I can purchase all those plugins? Thanks.

Well I can't say for certain what the issue is, although it would seem security (on your pc or in your network) related, but just go to the download link, download a fresh copy and unzip and overwrite your old folder, or just unzip it to a new folder thats on your desktop or in your documents folder.

3 hours! I can't believe they took that long, man Sweetfunny and Softtouch you guys are slacking off, making a customer wait 3 hours to custom code a new feature. Haha! :D (For anyone out there that is too serious about life Im joking)

Thats excellent! I have never had another tool, SEO or not that has ever been as receptive to my suggestions as Scrapebox, nor as fast to implement. Best tool ever indeed.

No, however, the plugins - and Scrapebox - are currently priced about 1/5th of what they are work, so you are really already getting a 80% discount on all of it.

Is there a way to disable scrapebox writing to the Harvester_Sessions folder ?

Can someone point me in the right direction? I am trying to scrap emails of business owners from a certain city. Is this possible?

Thank you that seems to have worked.

No. Why do you want to? I ask because perhaps there is another solution. But Scrapebox dumps the urls to file in real time. I "believe" it then removes them from memory and relies on that file, even when it reloads them in the grid in the end it pulls up that file (again I think, sweetfunny or soft touch could say for sure) so if you disable that, then essentially all the urls you harvest will never be saved and there is no point to harvest them in the first place.

Yes. So the yes part is functionally yes it can do what you want, unless there is some unforseen catch like the emails you want are in javascript . But without more detail about exactly what you are wanting to do with examples of urls you want to scrape emails on then I can't give you really any pointed direction.

Email scraping works by either loading in urls you want to scrape emails from or loading in a domain and it will crawl the domain looking for emails.

How you get those urls or domains to load in is where it varies. So you may have a directory or something you want to use and thats fine, or maybe you need to scrape for "cars Atlanta Georgia" and thats fine, but then you would want to probably use the link extractor and extract internal urls a few times or if you only want to scrape from like 1 domain there that you find or a few you can use the crawl option.

So it just depends. If you can give more details someone here can give you more direction.

Your welcome, glad it worked.

The reason why I want to disable it is to save on some resources. Writing to the disk two time is unnecessary for me. I realize that the files in that folder should serve as backup, but in my case I don't need a backup so I'd like to spare my server from creating the same txt file twice.

Second thing is that this folder fills up my SSD hard drive fast and I have to delete it manually very often.

That folder is not a backup. SB does not hold urls in memory during harvesting, but writes them in real time to that folder, so even you get a power interruption, all harvested urls until that moment are there and nothing is lost.

I tried searching this thread for my answer but it is just to long. I want to know how many public proxies are needed to post about 100 comments a day on blogs. And how many private proxies are needed for the same. I understand that if I get private proxies, they aren't like public which disconnect and time out. Which I think would mean less private than public.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hello,

1. Is there a Scrapebox for Mac?

2. Is the $57 deal still available to buy at this point?

3. Is there a tutorial on how to get Scrapebox working with a VPS?

Thanks

If you go to options >> harvester session folder size settings - you can have it set to notify you when the folder exceeds X size.

You could also just write a batch file that clears the folder and then save a short cut on your desktop and then it would take only a double click on the shortcut and it would clear the file.

Posting with public proxies is not recommended, success rates would be terrible. You should use private to post and you can use either to harvest urls. Technically to post you only need 1 private proxy, although 5 would be better so your ip gets rotated, assuming your posting multiple comments to the same end domain that a moderator might see. But if a moderator sees it then it is probably not getting approved anyway, so I would go with 5 but 1 is functionally fine.

You can use parallels to run windows on mac and then install scrapebox on windows, so you can run both at the same time on your mac.

Or you can install a virtual machine and then windows and run it that way on mac

Or you can get a windows vps and remote into it from your mac

However there is no Scrapebox version that will natively run on mac.

Yes the $57 deal is still available http://www.scrapebox.com/bhw

Yes, here you go:

I have noticed a few cannot contact the scrapebox server for the last few days. That does not create any problem as the normal scrapebox keeps running and I can only see when I close scrapebox. So, is the scrapebox server intermittently down for the last few days. This is not a problem as it does not create any problem and SB works normally but just thought of asking it as I saw it quite a few times in the last week.

I have another pending request for long SweetFunny. Please try to add a recheck error sites for the Moz addons such as Page Authority Checker and Backlinks Extractor. I would highly appreciate that feature if possible. Moz normally returns a lot of errors with the free proxies and it is a huge pain to check the site lists once again especially in case of larger lists.

The activation servers have had zero downtime as you can see from pingdom

http://stats.pingdom.com/vz0wm9714wj5

Also I have not seen this personally. Sometimes when I go thru and fire of 10 instances of scrapebox in a matter of a few seconds, 1 of them will fail to authenticate but as soon as I close it and reopen it, then its fine. So its most likely something on your pc or in your network blocking the requests or analyzing them and then it times out.

Make sure Scrapebox is set as trusted/allowed in all security software and try closing down any unneeded programs.

Is it just me or is anyone else suddenly getting a lot of 401s from the 64 bit page authority checker?

I really want to f...find / filter authority domains by moz addon using free proxies.
But they are too slow.
I guess one of the reason is that there are too many free proxies (not only yours)are
requesting authority result simutanously?
