More traffic on blogger then on wordpress.

I've just started a blog a week ago. Since I couldn't decide between which two services I'd choose I simply went with both.
For me I have to say I like blogger more. Why? I get much more traffic. With wordpress I have not had a single view after one week of blogging and 7 articles with each +/- 600 words. With blogger, however, I already had 200+ views (with my own views switched off ofcourse). However, when I read the internet, I read more positive things about wordpress, i.e more features, more professional and it's very easy to swtich to your own domain.

Anyone else experiences the same?

It is pretty known that blogspot is more favored by Google since it is their own network.

In longer run, wordpress is better.

I think you are talking about Wordpress.com instead of Wordpress.org. When folks talk great about Wordpress it is most likely the CMS blog software that you put on your own hosting. Wordpress.com is just another web2.0 platform like Blogger.

Wordpress CMS on hosting beats Blogger and Blogger beats Wordpress.com

Aha, I did not know that. I indeed have used the free wordpress to compare to blogger. Only thing I do not like about blogger is that I've heard Google has a tendency to delete what they don't like.
Is this possibility removed if you switch your blogger to a domain you bought/buy?

Right now I just save all my articles in word as a backup.

Are you sure those views aren't just spam bots? I don't really see any reason why you would be getting more views on one than the other. The amounts of visitors you attract depends on the work you put in and type of marketing you do like seo etc.... Doesn't matter what platform you use.

I don't know. Is there any way to check this?
Most of my views are from the US and directed through google search.

All of the web2.0 type platforms can and will delete at the drop of a hat. BUT if you're writing useful content it will stay up for as long as the platform exists. I have dozens of blogger blogs that have been making money every month for years. The only deletions were blatant spun garbage sites or "auto blogs". Pointing a domain to a blogger does not guarantee or even slow down their decision to delete a blog.

Bottom line. If you don't want to lose it, buy hosting. Save the web2.0 sites for link building.

Learn how to write seo articles yourself before outsourcing. Basstrackerboats, nickflame, phpbuilt, etc... Have some of the best tutorials in existence right here on this forum.

Bottom line, work harder and smarter than the competition and you will become the competition.

Wordpress pass on is better. You OWN your own substance and nobody can take that from you. With Blogger, you are bolted into Google and they can bring you down at any minute. Would you like your business to simply vanish? Poof!

Always made a contrarian experience when comparing both in a similar way. My WP blogs always got way more google traffic than blogspots. Anyhow, word is Google will abandon blogger sooner or later. Just look at their crappy skins. They put zero effort into maintaining that platform.

You will get more traffic in blogger, but wordpress have more psotive things with it ie., its ownership is with us(wordpress provide hosting for our website) but in blogger the control is with google so they can run or shut down our services anytime they wish. Blogger seems to be odd with its old appearence as it has only few themes but wordpress has a lot of themes which we can customise easily.

Both are really good. It depends on how you work on your site such as adding content, seo etc. The thing is these two blogging platforms are search engine friendly.

Wordpress self hosted wins every time, you have control over looks ads etc. After one week is a bit soon to make a comparison. If your articles are right then traffic will come, the other blogger platform means you are a slave to google, they decide what you do really and if they don't like it - Whoosh you're gone!

May be blogger take an advantage of google's own product thats why it is generating more traffic as compare to wordpress. Overall presentation and other facilities are far superb in wordpress as compare to Blogger. I will go to wordpress without any issue of traffic

Indeed buddy, same as what Franklin said, it might be spam bots. Well, Google goes biased here since Blogger goes under them. Yet WordPress is still better.

When people are talking about WordPress, they usually mean the self-hosted CMS platform from WordPress.org which is free too. That is why when you talk about the free blogging platform hosted in the cloud, you need to mention WordPress.com specifically. Nobody uses "WordPress" to describe WordPress.com in 2015 anymore.

They are very different things. Your money site shouldn't be on a web 2.0 platform, these are used only for link building now days. Reason for this is because they could delete them in any time and you don't have control over them, you can't customize them with plugins and self-hosted themes the way you can on your own self-hosted platform. They are not good for business too, Google doesn't like ranking them on top in 2015. WordPress.com and Blogger were famous when blogging was still hot, back in 2009-2012. Today they are pretty much worthless for any real business purposes. Blogger jumped to social media and blogging platforms with social media approaches like Tumblr. One of the reasons why Google abandoned Blogger is exactly that - old school blogging is very retro at the moment and no one uses it anymore, only people which are stuck in the time. It's like using a CRT monitor, calling a folder a "directory" or calling your smartphone app a "software program".

Your main money site should be created on an easy self-hosted platforms like WordPress, not WordPress.com, Drupal, Joomla or something else which is easy enough for maintaining. Then you use Web 2.0 and social media to drive traffic. So if you really really want to use WordPress.com or Blogger for whatever crazy reason you want, you need to link them to your money site.

Also in 2015, don't read anything regarding SEO from 2014 or previous years. Don't be stuck in an old mindset as things are changing very fast.
