Ive found that Mashups are the most succesful posts over there. People love them if you know what content to create.

Sure, I just need to analyze more patterns and finish a queue project that needs my attention first.
Im sure this will be a great tool for those that are looking for 2-5 visits per minute from stumbleupon. It might not make sales, but if you have a news blog or something that requires to decrease CTR for Adsense and so on, I guess this will be your way.
I dont want to talk without understanding how to stimulate at least at its 50%.
If you guys find out something, please let me know or send me a PM so I can test it.

The key to stumbleupon, for me, was to use it all the time. Make friends, get followers, engage and act like you love it lol. Even though my account was old and used somewhat often, things got a bit busier after I gave in and became addicted to it myself. Now it's just part of my routine. Just like I click around on reddit everyday, stumbleupon comes next.

Yes indeed. StumbleUpon is a great app considered the forward button of the internet.
Right now people is finding interesting content on social networks, but StumbleUpon shows you what you like, the more you use it, the more he understands and know you. You will get to love it.

I've gotten a ton of stumbleupon traffic lately and they aren't engaged at all, 13,000 stumbleupon visitors and none buy anything.. 1000 visits from pinterest, for me, has proved to be infintely more beneficial for affiliate marketing anyway.

Is traffic something bad for your site? I mean, I know it might not convert, but in my case, its a news blog. I like that lots of people StumbleUp(like) my posts and that gives me more traffic to that specific post. The more traffic I got, I have more authority in my domain. Also it improves SERPs.
Im still looking out what other benefits it has.

You have to engage more with the users on SU. You have to post what users like, present it in a way that it is impossible for them to not read what you have posted. Be more active on the community. It's all same for all the communities out there. You have to be more interactive.

Since its not good for sales, does it bring a an okay amount of money from ads enough to pay for a better hosting package and turn a profit just from that traffic alone. For example could I expect at a minimum $30/month from SU traffic?

I'm going to go test it out next month, since I have to prep files for the site I plan on using for it.

If the posted is automated, even a pretty low in IM regards profit margin could still be worth it. I think I could use shared hosting(since it would be an blog not image host)here it would only cost me like $.20/day for hosting+domain. I could probably get at least $.50/day from ads which is the bare minimum I would want to earn while its automated.
