Let me tell you something , all the facebook employes have no idea what they are doing , once I reported a bug and guess what happened they ignored it , 1 week later I found out the bug was patched , bastards , they got plenty of servers when it comes to ads but they dont use them to auto-recognize porn media files , money my friend , money :/

I believe it's hard to monitor +1 Billion Users... and lets talk from realistic point of view
Whoever responsible for posts moderation would be an employee who gets 10$/hour and sit for 8 hours daily watching god know what from sick minded people ! There noway they would all be taking there job seriously, its like the worst job in the world
Anyway, with just huge network, there is no way to control everything on it. And All they care about is money BTW.. Check Youtube, Google ........etc ! I even believe they might be using automated system to review reports -_-

I reported this video and Facebook did nothing. I'm not even sure why they have a report button if everything is apparently in compliance with Facebook's community guidelines.
No, it was not that one. The one I'm talking about was with some highly flammable liquid and you can guess the rest.

I've seen quite a lot of stuff get sent around on Facebook. They should get some training from YouTube on content management and screening.

That reminds me of a video I saw on Facebook last year where a couple of Mexican teenagers lit a 5-week old kitten in a bucket on fire with some petrol (based on the thumbnail, I thought it was going to be a video where a kitten was receiving a bath). In case you're wondering, the kitten survived the incident, although both of his ears had to be removed.
Interestingly enough, one article about the kitten actually mentions users complaining about Facebook's inaction toward the video, even after multiple people (including myself) tried to take the video down. This was Facebook's response to the video:
I bet Mark Zuckerberg would change that rule immediately if everyone started sharing videos of his wife getting beheaded or his dog being lit on fire.

C'mon why wouldn't they milk it as much as they can?
On the other hand, a perfectly fine copy of ad gets taken down and accounts get banned.
When you have only 0.001% of human population as staff to filter it, things will get stupid, fast.

Agreed. To be honest, the groups could be part of a sting operation. I remember reading a while ago about a decent-sized ring being busted in the UK I think. But yeah, people on the Internet are fucking stupid.

I was thinking it could be a honey pot, but it seems in bad taste for an agency like the FBI to use a honeypot like that on Facebook due to the way Facebook feeds work.

Facebook has a serious problem on their hands and if they are not willing to fix it, new internet laws will. I think well start seeing our internet rights slowly stripped from us because of idiots sharing destructive content like mentioned in this post. Its a real shame.

There is no such thing as internet rights, and Facebook is doing all it can, it takes time to manually review content.

Facebook really only cares about its ad platform. You can do anything on Facebook as long as you're not violating their ad platform's ToS.
