A new update is available with a number of fixes.

2.0.0.17 Beta:
  • Link checker export as csv now create a .csv file instead of a .txt file
  • Changed behavior of "Select url list to compare" and "Select url list to compare on domain level"
  • Fixed a bug in emailgrabber -> abort, causing an access violation
  • Added a new, large button to list editor to save the list back to where the list came from
  • Fixed autoload proxy file select button will now close the dialog instantly
  • Added code for contacts form poster
  • Added sorting of harvester columns
  • Fixed bug where keywords are shuffled when removing dups
  • Fixed saving location in Google Image Grabber

Anything is possible with Google, but i'm not seeing anything different on my end.

Thanks and yes that makes sense, there's also a few options still missing from the Export menubutton on the harvester like Append to Existing List.

I still see issues with comparing urls. Compare on domain level in ver 2.0.0.16 was very fast (maybe too fast) as not removing any url. Now it's processing lists for infinite time - I tested that on few thousand it's ok, since the list is about 50000 urls it starts to hang.

Removing urls containing/not containing entries from file is still giving not proper results - working very fast but removing too many urls.

How many urls are in the grid, and how many urls are in the file you selected to compare on domain level?

Containing/not containing: Please provide urls which it removes but should not, together with the file you use with "containing/not containing".

In comparing on domain level I just compare the same lists - so I wanted to see that all urls were removed. So then it's 8000 vs 8000 it's ok, when it's 50k with 50k it's a hang. I hope that finally we will be able to compare few million results -as it's the target of 64 bit version.

Second case Containing/not containing. Just found the issue - it's really amazing feature (added by mistake?) you should leave it but add the old functionality as well :) Currently the remove option removes all urls not containing all keywords from the file, not just one as in the old version - it can be very useful - but please add the old version as well.

Will I be able to enter a rootdomain and scrap all the emails inlisted in that domain?
So if I scan - "craigslist" will I be able to find all the emails located inside posts??

hope u guys dont mind posted out the link for the beta to everyone i no

Not sure if it is a bug but if you check pr then close then reopen the window you lose all previously checked data

I think its fine. I posted it up on the youtube channel and in the video and there are thousands of subscribers and I also mailed it out to all my mail lists. Plus it shows up in google search results. At this point I think the more the merrier so they can fix any potential bugs prior to official launch. At least thats how I would want it if it were me.

Sort of. Its not that simplistic though. You need to take your root url and either do search engine scrapes, like site:craigslist.org and get lists of post urls or use the link extractor addon over and over and pull out the internal urls you have. then you load the list of urls of posts you have and Scrapebox will load the urls and look for mails. However Scrapebox will only look for mails on the urls you load in, it will not crawl to other urls on that same domain.

I don't follow what your asking on remove urls containing/not containing, it seems to work as the old version did. Are you talking about the remove urls or remove urls containing entries from?

On the import and compare you can definitely use large lists with 64bit but 64bit can not defy the laws of computing, if you load in millions of urls and compare with millions of urls its going to take hours.

When removing duplicates its quite easy as they can use a bubble sort and then just remove duplicates. But when importing to compare it has to go letter by letter from the compare list against the loaded list. This is just resource intensive and time consuming. For example, Sweetfunny explained it to me that their outlook takes overnight just to index the mails on their machine.

Scrapebox is no different. You may need to leave it for hours or overnight or longer if you expect to be working with massive files when doing import and compare.

I do not force it, it's like that from default settings.

I have made a quick video showing the small problem. But I haven't posted 15 posts, so can't send you a private PM.
Where do you want me to send the video if interested?

you can mail the at support (at] scrapebox [dot) com

Yes I totally understand it - when comparing few millions with few millions - now I wanted to compare few millions with like 3-10 entries. Yes the "new feature" is when we remove url not containing entries from a file - it works another way now. Still are you able to import 1-2 mln record list and remove on doman level the same list - it should last no more than 30 seconds comparing to old scrapebox.

I'm having a small issue with Link Extractor, namely I load about 3,5 mil urls from a txt, it counts the urls but gets stuck when finished counting and doesn't display them. What do you think might be the cause and how can I solve this?

how does remove urls containing entries from a file work differently then before?

Generally that would mean that there is some bad data in the list or something like an anti-virus etc... is locking the process due to data in the list. So try to make the list smaller and work with chunks, do smaller portions load? If so then work thru the list does a specific portion not load?

Make sure of course its set as trusted/allowed in all security software.

When it freezes does it say not responding or does it ghost white or go all black or what exactly does it do?

Does any1 have a solution to my problem. When I harvest the urls and I save them to txt file them I try to import and identify in GSA it says 0 links imported. When I copy the links to clipboard and paste in notepad and save the file, then I can import in GSA SER without problem. I suspect that SC 2.0 cant export files in ANSI format ?

When you export urls in SB V2, you can select Unicode, UTF-8 or Ansi as export format.
