just a heads up - you can do all this Free - AWS SES account is free - 10k per day + IEM you can download here (free also if you look)
fyi even with this setup using AWS - be warned.. they only alow opt in lists (transnational emails) and will disable your account if you do prospecting (leads)
they only allow 2% complaints amazon, and you Must have a very clean list - very low bounce rate -- though very cheap they have a very low talerance compaerd to mandrill or mailgun..

I would rather make my math prior sending inaccurate info.
10k per day is ses PRODUCTION.
Also check that we include free email validation service.

You better find a very good double opt in email list than validate it on another system to be sure all the bounces are removed hard/soft. Secondly, I would like to send some proof, some examples of a good run. I am running with cobra mailer who's using amazon in the background and I am getting hammered !!

Regarding bounces you are correct. Amazon does not tolerate big bounce rate . This is why we first of all we provide 5k free email validations and secondly we have out other service which you can find here : http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/misc/616013-innovative-unique-rent-your-own-smtp-mail-server-send-unlimited-emails-free-vps.html , which offers personal smtp servers, so that you can use personal smtp to clear your list using bounce server and then blast these using Amazon.

These 2 services are not similar, one works along with another.

I placed my order 10 days ago now, still nothing has been setup. I asked OP and he apologized for the delay 3/4 days ago. Not heard nothing since over Skype, and this was supposed to be 1-2 day setup. Not sure what the deal is, but I'd appreciate better communication.

So if anyone's thinking of this, expect a delay
